I was with you, goodintentions I just didn't realise it at the time!

    So, this morning I have:
Been to mr a, decluttered £s and got non-lumpy milk
Ridded fridge of anything that makes me feel queasy
    Stripped 3 beds
    Dusted and vacced all upstairs
Sorted washing and set wm going
    Emptied and reloaded DW
Collected dry clothes / sorted ironing pile
Antibacced down work tops in kitchen
Had doors and windows open as house smells fumey
Removed new heatproof table cover as suspect this is what's fumey :D
Toasted crumpets and made tea, with non-lumpy milk

    And relax!
    :rotfl:

I'll remake the beds but am scheduling a nap for this afternoon as I am technically still recovering. Plus I'm taking advantage as MIL called this morning asking if they can have the kiddies an extra night. Aww, she put DS on the phone who asked if I was better (it does seem to affect him when I'm ill, bless him) and asked if they could go to the caravan again. So MIL has booked a long weekend and this time I'm invited! Hurrah!

    - that wasn't a dream as such - just a prediction - it won't be long before you will be offering the Bossyteens a bespoke taxi service :rotfl:

I second the dettol spray, we have it here, I keep one in the downstairs loo for potty disinfecting too. Brilliant stuff. Lightly spray remote controls too... Lol about the taxi, it starts tomorrow with DS starting soccer tots!

Im not having a great day today...trying to stay strong for my beautiful children but I worry how I will cope on my own now. I know my marriage ending is the right thing but it still really hurts :( . Someone tell me that it gets easier???

    Hi Elle,
Sorry to hear about your troubles. It does get easier. I'm on my own with two little ones too (for a different reason) and have been for just over a year. You're in the right place here, I joined a year ago and the lovely flyladies have picked me up and dusted me off (more than once) and shown me what I'm made of.
You will cope, you're a mum, and your instincts will take over. Meantime, baby steps is the way, and being kind to yourself. Life will fall into place when it's good and ready. Have a hug x

I'm procrastinating big time. Also had some news that is good but has bought up some major issues with me. I just want to curl up in a ball and hide from the world but thats not an option as DD won't understand as shes to young and DH will think I'm being stupid. :(

Hugs joannasmum - we're here if you want to offload.

3 bin bags of clothes to go to my mate's - just need to put all the clothes away now and I'll be more or less done in DD's room. I'll still need another HHC or 2 in there though.

I've got to drop my kids off at my mum's about 3 and then I'll have an hour or so before I go back up for my tea.

Back from library - revamp i horrid, what a waste of money. DS3 reluctantly looking at a book after a cooked lunch, DS1 has done a great job on my car.

Cup of tea time then I'm doing at least one of the kids rooms, DS3 has grown so I need to see what fits (not much I fear).

  • I'm not managing to post as often as I would like but can't see me being back into a proper routine until the schools go back on Monday. Have a wee rude awakening coming tomorrow when DD's dancing class starts back!
I'm quite pleased that I'm keeping on top of the washing and ironing and the place looks not too bad so that will help when I start flying in earnest on Monday;)
I have 1 tree down and boxed up just need to do the other one now I'm sad about it because it looks wonderful this year :(

Off for a HHC if anyone wants to join me ?????

  • Just popping in to post a list. I've done a bit of flying this week - not gone OTT though! My two are back in school on Tuesday, so I'm off work until then too. Just enjoying a bit of chill out time with the girls, but DD1 had a sickness bug so we've been housebound for a couple of days. Must get some of that dettol spray - good tip that Valli.

Think we'll pop out to the park for half an hour - desperate for a bit of fresh air. DD1 is better now, but still taking it slowly today.

    Anyway, to the list:
