Had an evening of flying and think I am just about catching up after returning to work. So far cleaned ot the log burner (from Tuesday :o), dusted and hoovered Living room and study. Cleaned downstairs WC and blitzed kitchen, utility, dining room and hall. Just finished mopping the floors...DD and DS threatened not to come down and walk all over them until they are dry!
Just need the S&S family bathroom and then I will call it a night. DH thinks I am mad and says DD's friends will never notice as the are students, but it feels so much better keeping on top of things and most areas were tacled quite quickly today after my mammoth pre-Christmas clean and the flying since. Ironing challenge still going well, just 3 t-shirts in there (picture types that can't go in TD).

I've been ironing for the last 2 hours. I had an empty basket the day before NYE and that's how much has accumulated from my change clothes 10 times a day kids. Unfortunately there is still a not very dry maiden full of clothes to iron in the morning. I will text my lady and ask her if I can bring it with me.

I've sorted out all the school bits which is a bit previous for me. I'm usually searching frantically for a pe t-shirt at 8.45am on the morning they go back to school.

Next task is to do DD2's long term homework which is to send her to school in a pirate outfit on Monday. I tried to talk her into wearing what DS3 wore when he was in Yr 2 but she will only wear dresses and she look at me as if I'd offered her a bomb. Back to the drawing board then.

Sorry to hear so many of you have d and v lurgy. Lurgy avoidance vibes for all that want them!

Only got general DW, WM, tidying/wiping the kitchen, clearing the table and picking up toys done today. Had the little boys from next door here playing for most of the day so there were toys EVERYWHERE! Couldn't see the floor in the kids room or living room until bedtime. DD has been feeling yucky all day so spent most of the afternoon sitting on the sofa cuddling her whilst she read me books - the housework will still be there next week but it's not often she wants a cuddle so I definitely wasn't going to say no!

Everything is pretty tidy so I will put one more load in the WM before heading to bed. Going to get up early and have a productive day :T

Up early, slurping coffee and getting ready for work. TD on and dog walked (no raining yet so I stayed dry - bonus). Going to get DH up but leave DD and DS in bed then head to work.

Morning all. I had been getting up an hour earlier than necessary each day this week to fit in as much flying as possible before the paid stuff, but not today. DD and DS were here last night which was manic and I feel I've achieved quite a lot this week anyway. I do intend though to get up an hour earlier each day next week as the plan does work.

    My list:

    Kitchen:
    Clean undersink cupboard
    Descale taps
    Wipe work surfaces
    Mop floor

    HSL/Bathrooms:
    Wipe walls
    Clean bath
    Clean toilets
    Clean sinks
    Sweep/hoover/mop floors

    Gym/hobby room:
    Wipe windowsill
    Dust bookshelves
Hoover, including under treadmill and mop floor

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.

    Good morning!

I stayed up a bit later last night to wash up the big pots etc that wouldn't fit in the dishwasher. Was going to do it this morning but thought it would be nicer to come into a completely tidy kitchen with empty DW :) Today I need to do lots of ironing, as it is taking over my bedroom and no one has any clothes! Want to try and get some things crossed off Thursday's list too today.

Will kick off with a HHC 8.25-8.55 to get the bathrooms done, bed stripped and bins emptied.

Put away anything on the stairs or landing

Tidy up and find a home for all those things sitting about - going to start with finding 10 things to throw/give/put away in my bedroom as the whole lot would take me a week :rotfl:

Yes please Dustykitten . Milk no sugar!!
Had migraine yesterday and slept very badly last night. Get the feeling today is ion to be a long day.
Sister coming down today and she helps 1 day every fortnight. Her challenge is my bedroom and en suite which is the dumping ground for the whole house. Loft needs a bit of re organising to get all the decs in, currently in boxes in my en suite- you get the idea!
