  • I've spent the afternoon helping a friend declutter the last of her Christmas Cake :D and then been to register for the new kniotting group that's starting soon - hurrah :j

Going to take a look at what's still to do on my list and finish the tea and get it into the Rayburn.

Just got back in and had a swift cuppa and changed.

Dailies and bathroom list got done before I went out this morning. Will get the stairs done and Hoover round here shortly.

DD and I went shopping when we got back. Totally showed me up in Mr As! I wanted new underwear and DD pipes up. Well just cos your old doesn't mean you have to wear granny knickers. Trouble is she has not got a quiet voice. I looked round to see several amused faces and a lady said no you don't get some nice ones. Cue me making a hasty get away.

Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed. Get well vibes for the poorlies and welcome newbies.

done meter readings. What happened to the days of a little man coming round and doing them? :(

Your supplier should be reading your meters on a yearly or 2 yearly basis...

It says something about the state of the garden that I needed a SAW to cut back the hollyhocks :eek::eek:

that ^ was a long and excruciating job (as per usual) but I followed it by going off liust and cleaning the living room. Then DD and I went into town to deposit Christmas cheques and DD picked up reduced wrapping paper (she is VERY well-trained) and I bought a hand towel (£3 dwon from £10) and I have come home and made hash for dinner. Nyom. DS has another offer and for the Uni he wants and they are NOT asking for the three A grades it was implied they would expect. *mops brow* Watch OUT Shortbird :rotfl: - a Valliteen may be coming to a Uni near you :rotfl:

Evening! Have had 2 cups of tea this aft with no ill effect so am considering that a success. Even had toast and marmite. Feel delicate in my tum area, and very drained, so am off to bed. No doubt I'll be awake at some ungodly hour from too much sleep :D
Still, much improved on this morning. Am inclined to think its a bug as I feel feverish too. But I can't think who I've caught it from - no one I've seen has had it.

Never mind, I'm on the mend which is the main thing. Thank heaven for grannies, what would I have done without them?

Useless night's sleep again last night but my friend was at work today so we supported each other. Busy and long day at work so that was probably a good thing. Just done tea for DS, DD and her BF. Having a long cup of coffee then I am going to fly through Thursday's list. You never know it might actually help me sleep later on;)

The Power of Positive Thinking - :j:A:j:A:j:A thank you for all good vibes heading for me and the little skint - no protein so no break neck pace caesarean today which has bought the hospital much needed technical planning time.

Little Skint is currently weighing in at 7lb 4oz and is 36 weeks tomorrow....... her head and legs are normal, but her chest is getting way off base and is on for 42 weeks size, but her lungs are only 36 weeks size, the more mature her lungs are the better chance she has of keeping them inflated when she comes out, so they want to keep her brewing a bit longer.

Hospital are not happy with my legs, but are more concerned about swelling in eyelids and top part of my face:eek:, esp as there is no tell tale protein in the water works

Vampire dept decluttered my arm of numerous viles of blood as I am more of a worry than Little Skint now, so assuming my kidneys and liver are within acceptable limits we are looking at 21st of Jan so a multi discipline C section can take place......with lots of poking, prodding and stabbing in between- this takes me beyond the 38 week deadline and into dangerous natural labour territory.

If vampires don't like what they find when they have shaken my blood up, down and whizzed it all around, then anything can happen and I will get a phone call and then the proverbial will demand flying attention to the respective FAN :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Meanwhile DR would like me to get my iron up (as opposed to IRONING) re-jig all my injections and some rest for the swelling, but light pottering no more than that.....broken waters on a nice clean floor could spell disaster for me and Little Skint, so I am still with you all but very light dailies and S&S only til further notice :(

EX MIL goes back Saturday AM, and wont be coming back til 17th when I start steroids, unless it goes Pete Tong.

Part of me is disappointed not to be announcing the arrival of Little Skint today, but part of me is a little relieved to buy her some more time:D:D:D:D

thank you all for your support (I would like to thank you all one by one, but currently typing with sausage fingers!)

back to lurking with a cuppa now
The cold never bothered me anyway
