Hi Everyone,
A very happy belated New Year to you all. I have to admit that I have dipped in and out of this flylady thread for quite a number of years. I did not have the best 2012, so things fell by the wayside. I lost my Dad to cancer and then my marriage ended over Christmas while suffering with flu, so it has not been the best. I have three young children with no friends or family close by, so life is busy, even as a SAHM. After a nightmare few weeks, I need to get back on top of things, which always makes me feel better. Emotions are all over the place, and my mind is racing with how I am going to cope on my own. I need a bit of focus and last night I decided to come back to Flylady, and thought it might be a good place to start getting my life back on track.
Today I need to regain control of my washing basket which is overflowing. My little ones have also all been poorly, so there is a mountain of bedding and clothes to get through. A load of washing up needs doing, and then tomorrow I am going to try and blitz the kitchen. The flu really drained me but I want to get sorted before my eldest two go back to school next week. Have a good day everyone. x0 -

Get well soon - rest up and lots of fluids xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Late start for me as I had a night like bossy

bossy, bless you, I feel for you, I was like that on Saturday night as well as last night!!... but with an added 'problem' too just for good measure
Wishing you a calm stomach and sending you virtual lucozade xx
Work are NOT pleased that I can't open the shop due to aforementioned D&V - do they really want me D&Ving in the shop then??!! I foresee another row about sick cover, spare keys, reporting procedures etc etc none of which are put in place so there is ample opportunity to be told you have done something wrong (being sick in the first place appears not to be an option). Well nothing gets done in my organisation until the worst happens so maybe this will be the impetus to get the sick procedures straight. One thing I do know, and is one of my new year resolutions, is that I will NOT be made to feel guilty for things that are not my fault; especially if the fault/responsibility lies higher up the chain but attempts are continually made to pin it on those who are too scared to argue back  No more Ms Nice Bumpkins
sorry for the rant, but better out than in..
:rotfl:Wendy - put them in the bags instead
Welcome elle :T Sorry to hear you have had such a terrible time xx Do little things to gain control and a sense of purpose - your washing basket is a good start
Stick with us, all the best :A
Good luck skinty

Better stick the WM on while I feel up to it*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
Ok, 1 tree de-decorated, I've managed to take the top part off but struggling with the bottom 2. 2 garlands and sets of lights boxed up. I have put ribs in the oven and potatoes on to boil (will put them in the oven in a bit with chorizo and onions....yum). DD is still "doing" her room!!!!
Will put the decs in the attic, get the other boxes while food is cooking.......then the duster and hoover needs to go round
Hugs for Bossy, Bonnie and Elle xx0 -
Bossy and Bonnie - hope you're feeling better soon.
Well in the 2 hours since I started a HHC with Tooch, I've done 3 lots of dishes, supervised girls cooking breakfast, cleared up after the girls doing breakfast, eaten some breakfast/dinner, cut DD's birthday cake, decluttered 2 of the girls (of the other 2, 1 I'm taking home, the other 1 can't get hold of her mum to come and fetch her!), opened post, had meters read. Still loads to do but I'm a bit stuck until I know when the girls are going.
I reckon I'll do another HHC and then see what the situation is.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
