DD1 finally came home last night but has been very slow to do anything this morning after promising to get up early and help
DD2 will be home within the next half hour hopefully . . .
Their dad has agreed to take us to the costume shop this afternoon, (he's even paying the deposits which is a life saver) which is why I'm hoping DD2 won't be long, I don't want him changing his mind(9 days to go)
I've been loading and unloading the WM & TD all morning and have with DD1's help folded bedding and done meter readings. What happened to the days of a little man coming round and doing them?
I've updated my address book, which to me is the same as the Christmas card list.
I've phoned the CSA (again) to find out if the extra money in my account is from them and if so why's it half the amount it should be . . .
It's not from them
DD1's boyfriend's mum sent a lovely yellow jug home with DD1 for me so I now have 2 utensil pots, one for cooking things and one for baking
I'll be back later with a proper updated list

Hi all.
Hope all is well with Skinty and that we shall soon have something to celebrate.;)
Bossy and Bonnie GWS vibes for the both of you.:o
Bonnie when I was in the Civil Service, we used to reckon that sick leave needed to be booked at least three weeks in advance, and you could only kick the bucket if you had prior approval from the line manager!:rotfl:
Witchy posi-vibes and a roll of black sacks for you!:D
Elle welcome aboard; sounds like a "new year, new start" for you - we'll be very happy to have you along; if you need to offload, we're good at listening, too.:o
Tooch regarding those boots - what size are they? If they're size 7, then they deffo don't suit you, and you should send them to me, pronto.:rotfl:
I jest, my dear, I think they're fab!:o
I really need to do the spare room as well as the bedroom if possible today - Mr LW is wfh tomorrow, so the runway will be closed (ie virtually no Flying will be possible).:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good afternoon
Came home from the Children's Centre to find DH sanding the plaster in the kitchen that has blown. He found some paint in the shed and is repainting. Trouble is, I am not sure it is the correct paint  It may be the one we didn't like & painted over - about 10 years ago!! If it is, I don't know why we still have it!!Waiting fot the patch he has painted to dry now.
the kids are playing Just Dance 4 - computer games don't have to turn them into couch potatoes!
I will run the hoover over when they go home, then maybe tackle the bathroom. Dog needs walking to - hopefully DH will oblige as the kids don't have suitable clothes/shoes for me to do it
Gentle hugs & GWS vibes to Bossy & Bonnie. I hope you feel better very soon. Hugs for Elle too. You have had a tough start to the year - the only way is up!Stay with us - we will help. We don't mind if you rant

Dog has decluttered the contents of her bladder in a fit of pique as I wouldn't get out of bed and cook her a meal at 2.00am this morning.
Wool carpet scrubbed with biological washing liquid and spritzed with vinegar in the hope that smells and stains won't linger. Does anyone know if lightly spritzing with vinegar will mark the wool? It's still damp, so I could always rinse and blot it if nescessary. I think after three years of carpet scrubbing these carpets must be saturated with washing liquids and I'm getting worried about them. I plan to wash them all with the new Bi$$ell, but have to wait for the warm weather to get them dry again.Better is good enough.0 -
I'm in but SOOOOO behind
With hubby home a lot more at the moment that makes the kitchen a battleground. Empty bottles to recycle laying around. Dirty plates left on every surface. To be fair the surfaces to be need clear, stuff has accumulated.
Anyway, off to do a quick blitz now. :jDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!" Less things. Less stuff. More life.Fab thread: Long daily walks

Thanks for the good wishes, much appreciated.
I think I need some "stop yourself from telling your bosses to go f*ck themselves" vibes
Had a call from boss saying I need to go to the doctor. Err.. I have D&V I'm not well enough to go anywhere, quite apart from being infectious... No, I must go or at the very least phone them and get them to give me something to make me better. Err... there is nothing that can be done for D&V it just needs to run its course. No, I MUST ring the surgery and ring her back. I ring the surgery and am told - as if I didn't know!! - that under no circumstances was I to come to the surgery and infect other people; stay at home until 48 hours after the last 'episode'. Report this to boss. This is not the news she wants to hear. I say tough tittie. Now I am to phone boss's boss and tell her what the surgery said; no, she can't do it, even though I'm ill, it has to come from me. I need an hour or so to calm down before I make that call, I'm so angry. Which is where the "stop telling your bosses to go f8ck themselves" come in, please:) Oh and my stomach is churning again*If you have nothing nice to say... say nothing*"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr0 -
