    Morning all

Had a lovely start to the day with cuppa made by DH (grudgingly, before he went to work) and reading in bed with DS2. Was up much earlier than I have been, so that's good. I want to get on with some flying, sort DS1's tea for work and also get out for a bit with DS2, although it's a damp and gloomy day.

Just a quick question about Sun holidays - do they ever have dates available that are not in term time (would need weekend or school holidays)? MIL always goes on about them (we don't take any papers) but I'm not sure we'd actually be able to go.

ETA Just checked the website and answered my own question. Might be worth looking into, once I checked our holiday dates.

I'm just off for a quick bath before DD gets home and make the most of the peace. Then I'll have to do some work. I got distracted by sorting out the bottom of my wardrobe, at least now I should be able to find my hairbrush! Also managed to put the majority of the Xmas decs away, I need to add buy new boxes for them (or I might recycle my order ones if I can find something to cover them with  ) as the bottoms keep collapsing and they're more duct tape than cardboard now :o

    Wednesday - kitchen

Have completely done the kitchen. Coffee break, then cloakroom, hall and living room - in the right frame of mind today!

Just have to be careful not to declutter things I shall need urgently in three or four weeks' time....;)

Having a frustrating morning hanging on the phone trying to sort out change to car insurance policies and still not got through so will try again later. On the positive got home insurance policy and also should be getting cashback of £60 :T. Also done a few other admin type jobs.

Need to go and sort upstairs, put a load of washing in and then be brave and go into the kitchen!!

Need to go to shopping centre as DD is saying her school shoes don't fit; she'll be into a 4.5 or 5, can't believe it!! Think she's going to be tall like me. Also will walk the dog whilst we're out as there's a new footpath we haven't explored yet.

    Best get going ....

Had a late night last night, but it doesn't appear to have zapped my energy levels thankfully.

So far WM x 1, TD x 1, dishes done, BM on, pan of soup on, leftover parsnips parboiled & roasted and put into freezer for another day, all downstairs floors hoovered and mopped, kickboards and chairs gleaming, kitchen looking and smelling lovely. Doing 3 open shelves in kitchen rather than a cupboard, but they do need it and it'll be good to get the teapots and stuff into hot, soapy water.

Decluttered DS to a friends house (he was collected so I'm still in my onesie!). Must go and have a shower and think about heading into town, although OH is still in bed following NYE excesses - silly man :o and DD is sitting chilling out with her new Tablet.

    Extras:-
Invoice client for job n 27th Dec.
    Email menus to client
Numerous jobs in town - but can be put off until tomorrow when I have to go back to work anyway. Would save on petrol too, so I think I may just do that.

I have to say that I am sorry the holiday period is coming to an end. The extra time at home has been well spent on flying and chilling and I know once I'm back at work tomorrow and Friday, the house will slide back a bit. You gotta love flying!:T

    TMD xx

    ETA:-
HHC anyone at 12.30? I'm off to do the kitchen shelves - fancy joining me?

More paperwork sorted from the LR hotspot, which is now almost clear.
DS1's tea for work ready (made a bit too much and had the rest for my lunch :D). Work clothes ready, too.
Recycling bins brought back in (glad I remembered to put paper recycling out :T).

Right, I'm going to quickly iron my jeans and then DS2 and I are going out. Fed up with DS1 getting up at the last minute and we both need some air, anyway.
