Although I'm not following the lists I've been pottering today and managed to do some jobs instead of just being glued to the TV or a book.
So todays achievements:- I got weighed & measured this morning :eek::eek:
- Finances up-to-date (so disheartening to know I paid off less than £100 on my debts in 2012 due to a very expensive year with new uniform, wheelchair hire, school things to pay for), this year I will pay off more
- Made my bed (rare in this house, and something I plan to change this year)
- Tided up the bathroom, my room, livingroom & kitchen
- Made a batch of curry sauce, french onion soup, a chilli con carne, and a loaf of bread (in the breadmaker)
I don't think I cooked that much on Xmas day :rotfl:
- Started scraping the chalk design off my livingroom window. Its easier & cleaner (once you clear the debris up) than trying to wash it off
but had to stop as my fingers were hurting from holding the blade.
- Washed up all the dishes from today (except the pan of curry which is still cooling & my slowcooker of soup which I'll put on again in the morning)
- S&S the kitchen :j
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Thank you for the link, ionafan. My DS2 will be 9 next May and I think we can have a good go at the list.
Narc0lepsy - your garden centre sounds lovely. Our nearest one is nice, but tries to be all upmarket and the owner wouldn't dream of giving anything away. Good quality plants, but everything's very pricy.0 -
Nicki, with the year you have had those debts could easily have gone up so take some pride in what you have managed. They are at least going the right way.
helenjelly - huge hugs, everyone seems to have this nasty cold atm
Not much done, I really need to get the DW emptied and filled ready to switch on in the morning. I do hate coming down to the mess otherwise.
I really want to have a deep clean of the kitchen tomorrow, and maybe get the worktops sanded and re-oiled.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Hi all, been to see Rise of the Guardians today and then fell asleep this afternoon as I didn't get to sleep til about 2:30 this morning due to next door's Abba singalong!!!!
Going to do some cross stitching now and try to get my sleep pattern back to something more normal tonight!
Going out for lunch with some work colleagues tomorrow and then may go for a look at some rattiesbonnie_bumpkins wrote: »Ooh and I would love a flylady meet for the Kent/Essex/other Home Counties people, perhaps in London if it's easy for everyone to get there? Happy to organise for the Spring, pm me if you are interested.
Sounds good to me bonnie - some of us met up in London a few years ago and had a great day. I'm in as long as it's a weekend or school holidays xI also would be interested in a flylady meet if there's ever one in Leeds/York/Hull area.
Visiting York is on my 101 in 1001 list so if someone organised something in a school holiday and I could spend a few days in York, I'd be interested.I sort of feel like I've opened a new school book, full of clean empty pages. Haven't felt like that in a long timelike maybe there are possibilities. I've surprised myself, I expected to feel pants today...X
So pleased to hear that bossymoo - sounds like you have turned a corner"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers
