Please can you add me in. My wreckless spending has driven us into debt. I need a tighter reign on our finances. Well spend tomorrow making a menu plan for as many days that I can.0

Okay I think I have finally got all the rules and updated my sig (hope it works!) Have inventoried the cupboards and menu planned this week, taken a stock of my coupons vouchers and loyalty points and have put all extra toiletries in a box in the wardrobe apart from the essentials in the bathroom.
Was tempted to do a 'shop' but have resisted so it will be a proper challenge - just have to tell the teenagers now...........no sweat there then.
Good luck everyone and sending special fairy dust tomorrow at midnight xJanuary 2020 Grocery challenge £119.45/£200
February 2020 Grocery challenge £195.22 /£200

Why have I only seen that this challenge has been posted now?? I've been dreaming about what the challenge would entail to find it's already been posted without my knowledge!
Kat can I just say a massive thank you for these challenges. You seem to get a few people giving you a hard time on here and I don't understand why. You are supporting people in your free time and helping us all get out of debt. We are all in the same position here so I think people need to just mind how they are coming across through text, as some of the comments are quite hurtful, even if they are not meant that way. But anyway onwards and upwards as you say and hopefully it's all been brushed under the rug... or whatever the saying is
Anywayysss can I be signed up please

OK.....you know I said I was going to eat my way through my freezer and food cupboard in January and I was NOT going to buy any more food until it had all gone..........well I failed at the first hurdle!
I had a £5 voucher for Waitrose.........no minimum spend needed....so what is a girl meant to do? Off I went to spend my voucher..........£100 later I emerged from said supermarket.:eek:
BUT BUT BUT.........they had clearly over ordered the large gammon joints and were selling them off at one third of the original price, ditto for the beef topside and the cooked ham, so I actually came away with £300 of meat!.........for a spend of £95 (because I had the voucher!)
I will now be eating my way through my freezer until Easter!
Technically, of course it is a December spend, but I have taken out of January's budget as it won't be eaten in December!:D

WOW!!!! We have hit the magic 50 mark!!! You have all been marked and numbered!
A massive WELCOME to you all!! This is going to be one super duper challenge. I can see there is a little trepidation amongst you all. The "rules" so to speak are there as guidelines - the aim is to learn EXACTLY where all your pennies are going. Especially after Christmas.
I must reiterate to the noobs though that when I use capitals is is for emphasis and it does not mean a shout. I just don't want anyone to be upset or anything when posts follow. I will be tracking your highs and lows as we move along and you will see just how amazing everyone is here in keep moral as high as possible.
Tell us all your failures and successes and we will cry and celebrate together.
I have literally booked a holiday this afternoon for April to celebrate my 30th, all budgeted for as well and I am so happy with myself. To Verona for those who are interested. But tonight my landlady told me she is moving and needs me out by the 1st May. I need to raise the money for the move now as well - only about £1000. **Groan**.. so the next month will be telling in regards how much overtime I can gain...
I am here to help with motivation, to get you into gear for how you should rule the rest of 2013. We will succeed together...
Onwards and Upwards!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0
