I LOVE those meals! Which one are you doing?

p.s. my clean up is always a nightmare, and it nearly always taken longer than 30 minutes!!
I did one last night - it did not go well! I'm not sure if it's Mr Oliver's responsibility though!

It was the oven roasted salmon with noodle soup one. I'd bought chillies at 4ldi, and because they were big, and if I'm honest from 4ldi, the snob in me thought "These won't be very hot . . ." Boy was I wrong! :rotfl: You basically couldn't taste anything for the chilli. I can handle chilli, so that wasn't the problem. The problem was the noodles has this horrible bitter aftertaste. So I didn't eat much of them.

Salmon was lovely, but the lack of carbs post gym was not good so I had some toast and honey for "dessert" to make up.

Fingers crossed yours goes better mumsiemum. I'm sure it wil!

It was the Tray Baked Chicken with Squashed potatoes, creamed spinach and stawberry slushie meal.

I only did the chicken and spud bit and it took about an hour!!:rotfl::rotfl: mind you I kept stopping to read/reread recipe, defrost chicken breast (forgot to do it before!) and change a lighbulb - went halfway through!! It was delicious though and everyone loved it so worth the effort.

mayfair1985 - I haven't even started the clearing up yet but its not looking like a 5 minute job :rotfl:

karmachilovething - I'll be careful with those @ldi chillis. May well give the salmon one a try - DS LOVES salmon.

Im good thanks NSK, hope you and everyone is good too.

Well spends today, Shopping £49.15 (and thats with £5 voucher off) spent out of my £80 so best last me at least 2 weeks:o. Got some yellow stickered items too. Cant fit anything else in the freezer section of my fridge freezer;)

Went into 800t5 today and didnt spend any physical cash:p, got some babywipes on promo at 89p. Didnt get anything else as now down to my last 17 bottles of showergel:whistle:.

Took the moomin to the carwash today, couldnt even see the rear number plate it was that filthy, Cost £2.99 which I will take out of my going out fund. Would normally wash it myself but at 2degrees and foggy outside, there wasn't a scooby doos chance.

Well off to cook a yellow sticker tea and see what my fleabys are doing.

  • Well went to the doctors and ended up needing prescription and bloodtests. So figured that as my NSD was totally shot due to my boots purchase then i would pay for school trip and buy a birthday card.
So today has cost me nearly 50 quid but we are well into January now and when i looked at the bank i realised that we had unaccounted for pennies. That NEVER happens!!!!! £53 up and that's not including sales on fb and ebay. Also sold something on ebay today for £10. Not sure what the fees will be but its more to my made pile!!!

So some highs n some lows cos i blew a NSD but all good cos hopefully now i can not spend!!!

Hi everyone, another boring day had by me, been at work all day, visited a friend on the way home and sitting here ready for bed:) Mind you my working day starts at 6am so I suppose to me its later than it really is:)

Another nsd today, but tomorrow I will be spending on fuel and food, Ive been using dried milk the last couple of days so I need some normal milk and some fresh veg, I havent really spent on food since before Xmas which is good, but my body is needing fresh fruit and veg now.

:jCongrats Marylea on the promotion, well done!!!!!

Congrats Marylea on the promotion, well done!!!

Today was a spend day  all of £2 to the sw raffle (I bought a countdown before christmas so the classes are free at the moment). Mind you it was worth it - I lost 7 1/2 lbs ( I had put 6lbs on over christmas so back to the 4 stone loss now) - and thats with trying to eat leftovers!

Tomorrow I am off to watch Les Miserables - I am taking tea with me to avoid costs and the ticket was bought before christmas so am aiming for an NSD. I also have a ten pound M & S voucher to spend on home products so am thinking about shower gels or other "useful" products.

I have also download the quidco check in app and so am aiming to try checking in (I live in the country but the cinema is in a shopping centre).

Ebay is ticking over - another £2.96 today,

 cheers to everyone - you're keeping me going!

    Congrats Marylea.
I'm reporting another NSD here, I am waiting for my food to finish going down so I can put the yoga DVD on. After yoga at rock climbing yesterday (not on the wall I should add), I really want to get all bendy stretchy. Plus my digestion has been feeling weird today because I ate toast really late, silly girl!

NSD - 8 :D (I've never had so many in one month before)

hi all, just checking in after two 12 hour days at work which has left me a bit tired, been reading but not posted so keeping up....roll on Friday evening.....well done to everyone's successes.

Managed to stay NSD and on target with packed lunches although would be nice for someone else to cook occasionally! My freezers are becoming bit more manageable but I am finding that planning meals from cupboards and freezer needs little top ups rather than a big shop so going to plan a bit more carefully at weekend, determined to empty them!
Bit of a bonus is that I lost three pounds (in weight) this week so thirteen in total so something is working.

Oh look at all you, you're doing great!!!

Had another NSD, survived my first gym class in years and actually found some interesting things to stick onto eBay once it's free again. Will look for more over the weekend. Will also send my camera to Asda tech trade in. Hope tomorrow is another NSD although I don't like not having any fruit, but needs must, I will not go grocery shopping till Saturday.

On a negative note, bf had to borrow money of me but said I don't have to contribute my usual share to the bills next month.

Great to hear everyone's positive news - and the fantastic frugality.

I've had a great day here - went skating with my DD and another family which was great fun and cost 3francs less than I thought it would. tonight was one of my scheduled going out nights - a meal out with the girls. Well, the lovely friends that they are paid for my meal as a thank you for some of the stuff I'd done over the past year which was really sweet of them. So, I have some extra money in the budget to spend on something else (the first thing being coffee for everyone next time I see this group again!)
    Trying to keep in budget.
