WHOOP!
Oh yes, me too! And I've run out of take away tubbies to put things in! Not a bad place to be though . . . and now I've got to eat it down because it looks like I'll be moving at the end of Feb. My housemate is moving to London, and I couldn't face finding a new person, plus I've been thinking for a while that the place we're in is a bit pricey for my budget. So I'll be moving back home for a while, and then possibly moving in with a friend who is buying a place . . . in theoryLearning2Budget wrote: »Aaaaahhhhh i am weak!!! The sole fell of my boots at the weekend and i needed to buy some new. I've been hankering after a certain pair of boots for over a year but they have always been too expensive. Saw them reduced to 38 quid and i bought them. Naughty i know but instead i shall cancel 2 if my planned meets with friends to recoup. Had to confess. Im bad :-(

Thta sounds like a sensible and well considered purchase, don't beat yourself up over it.

How is every body today! We are so close to the half way mark!!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0

congratulations on the promotion. xxxx
the boots may be lovely but in this weather probably an essential - you could hardly have used duct tape to fix the old ones...
NSD no 7 for me...
I have to pop to the PO later today to send a fleabay parcel and a load of luncheon vouchers arrived in the post today (as well as my shiny new driving license, and the vouchers don't count this month as I counted them last month - just didn't realise they'd take so long to arrive)... ....

I'm really good - I have to say being chained to my desk to finish uni assignments, and thus not leaving the house is a great way to not spend money... hahaha
it's nice to know that we're all working to try to fight our debts, and save the pennies...

Hi all
I almost got a NSD yesterday but nipped into the SM before collecting DD from work (9.30pm) and they had lincolnshire sausages at 20p :eek::eek: I need sausages but was planning on getting them on Saturday with the other food shopping but would have had to pay around £5 for the same amount - so I sacrificed a NSD for a £4.80 saving on my food budgetI think its worth it
Today I bought milk as we ran out (should have got it last night but was out at work all day/eve and didn't realize it had got so low - must try harder with the food shopping!! I did buy 2 x 6 pints - one is now in the freezer so I though when I get it out to use I will make sure I buy another to freeze IYSWIM?
I earned £20 for an unplanned tutoring session today and I've been asked to do another on Saturday :T YAY!! - Added to my 'Make' budget.
I have a couple of bits to ebay but will wait until Sunday to do that. I don't hold out much hope though - I am down to the dregs !!!!

yeah i know and now the butcher down the road is holding a fantastic promotion, but i just dont have the space .... i am determined though to eat every last thing in my freezer, it desperately needs to be defrosted, so let us keep our freezer combos updated here. so far i have found that vegetables dont keep their firmness when you freeze them... thought cabbage might but not the case sadly. think i need like a blast freezer.NinjaSavingKat wrote: »How is every body today! I did one last night - it did not go well! I'm not sure if it's Mr Oliver's responsibility though!
It was the oven roasted salmon with noodle soup one. I'd bought chillies at 4ldi, and because they were big, and if I'm honest from 4ldi, the snob in me thought "These won't be very hot . . ." Boy was I wrong! :rotfl: You basically couldn't taste anything for the chilli. I can handle chilli, so that wasn't the problem. The problem was the noodles has this horrible bitter aftertaste. So I didn't eat much of them.
Salmon was lovely, but the lack of carbs post gym was not good so I had some toast and honey for "dessert" to make up.
Fingers crossed yours goes better mumsiemum. I'm sure it wil!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -

Congratulations Marylea on your new job! Awesome news.

Hi just checking in!
Well done on clearing the rice cakes, I still have Camembert in the fridge left from xmas but cant face it.
I'm struggling with my food budget, I may have overestimated the xmas leftover food and think I may have set it a bit low. Its breakfast stuff and sandwich stuff that the kids seem to be mowing through. In a last ditch effort to make the money go further I have taken the plunge and ordered an eclectic mix of stuff from approved foods. This now leaves me with £40 ish for the rest of the month which I think is probably best spent in 4ldis.
That is unless I can persuade the kids into Camebert for breakfast:D
Everything else is going semi ok, quidcos come up trumps for a couple of payouts though my books are still sitting on ebay doing nothing.
Going to get flat tyre fixed tomorrow- praying they can mend it and I dont have to get a new one.:o
Hows everyone else doing?0
