Fairy I got so excited about my signature when I saw the preview I clean forgot to save it. :embarasse Fingers crossed I've fixed it.

NSD planned today. Feeling massively positive for the year ahead, I really hope it continues especially as I'm in the worst financial position I've been in ever in my life. Onwards and upwards. :j

    Happy new year everyone.

As I needed to go out and get my friend's birthday present I also went to the supermarket. I spent £14 from my food budget, on enough stuff for lunch all week. Everything else I eat this week will be from what is already in the house.

Off to update my signature and then to start listing a few more things on eBay if it is still free listing

Edited to add, I checked in at 3 stores on the quidco app and earned 15p :D

    Have a great day x

Hey folks, sounds like a fun challenge!

One question though, I'm a bit perplexed as to the 'Find £25' bit. Can someone give me a few ideas as to how this could be achieved? I didn't get the bit about finding receipts and what is doubling coupons...sorry I'm such a noob! lol

    Otherwise, I'M IN !!!

well it could consist of road kill - change or cash found in the street...

odd bits of change that have gathered in your house or down the back of your sofa - look in your car there may be a few coppers knocking about...

wombled receipts are found in for example Tesco - where you then go and collect the points, meaning you save some pennies later on...

I have no concept of the doubling coupons though...

haha sorry I answer questions as I see them or I can never find them again.... should have looked down the page...

and I have realised I count my cash slightly differently, but i'll get there in the end....

Hi - can I join in as well?

My grocery budget has been slashed from the usual £200 to £47.12 (contents of purse) since the freezer and storecupboards are bursting.

I will set my petrol budget to £40 since I have only one major journey to take.

I will aim for 25NSD's - I had a calendar for christmas and will record them on there - just need to put the calendar up now!

I have already ammassed £16 towards my £25 total - one £10 morrisons voucher from mail reward points and £6 found in garden gift vouchers.

In terms of ebay - I will do my best - honest miss!!

I really feel energised - thankyou.

Went round to a friend's house last night and we were doing our resolutions/goals for the year. Obviously my main one is financial so that I can make that big purchase and have my own space again. Also she is into moneyspinning/saving too and comes on here a lot. She told me about Adpoints which is linked to the nectar card. You can get 250 nectar points per week simply by watching ads on their website - that's 1000 points/£10 per month or £120 per year. Hope that helps some of you to generate that extra £25. One of her goals was also to generate an extra £200 per month so I may join here in this. I figure that even if I don't make all of it, having a higher amount will spur me on to do more money spinning.

Thanks for the advice - I have signed up to adpoints - they are offerring 250 poins for signing up - and have watched my first advert - not too time consuming!

Thanks for the tip about Nectar Adpoints, just joined as well. 250 points in the bag, will try to get to 500 by the end of the day! Can do it at the same time as Swagbucking.

  • Hola. :D
Just popping on to declare nsd 1. Which I am pleased about as I had a friend visiting and usually we go out for dinner, but I made dinner for us today so I've not even left the house.
A good start for me... makes me more determined to keep it up tomorrow and further on the month.
Still have loads of alcohol left from last night - trying to decide whether to have a sneaky drink tonight or not.
    Happy new year everyone.
