  • Hi everyone!
Today I sat my family on the table to speak about this challenge and what all encompasses. I actually asked my daughter to read the January challenge to us all and they appeared very impressed that my daughter wanted to join this forum but she is still young :-) In addition, we have explored a lot of family issues and each other's goals for this year and we wrote all in a paper and stuck it on the kitchen's wall. It has been a fruitful morning and I feel assured that my family too are by my side in this journey.

    Reporting my 1st NSD !

    I will succeed!

I love this. This is a family pulling together for the greater good I am super impressed. Your little one clearly loves a challenge. You will succeed!!

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".
  • Probably a silly question, but, if I get petrol tomorrow is that a spend day? Or a no spend day?

It would be a spend day but count as one of your " 5 " that you have leeway with if you wish.

  • New Names have been added. I cannot believe we have got to this many people. Clearly a few guilty purchases over Christmas may have contributed to this influx but I get the feeling people are sick and tired of debt, want to re-grasp their lives and their pay packets and make this year count. I am truly flabbergasted by how many are now on board. I will though - through out the month be sending message to you all... a personal check-up so to speak... but am truly excited now.

For those of you who are unaware the other thread of mine is update daily as well and I have a blog off MSE each week which is not publicised on here. Due to this I will only be posting here in the evenings... or at least once a day.

Please don't feel I ignoring you all or not reading... rememeber Ninja eyes are with you always!...lol!

    Onwards and Upwards!!

  • Evening all. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!!!!
Having updated myself on the thread, and not one for being left out, I have joined the adrewards with ne*ta* earlier today. Thanks for the tip. I also found today, that I am not very far of earning my first £10 reward of Valued opinions. Quite chuffed about it.
After working a night shift, I have vegged all day and therefore NSD 1 complete, Whoop whoop!!
Just a little question, if you use reward points or vouchers to "buy" things and no physical cash or credit card etc is handed over, is this classed as a NO SPEND?

Anyway off to my bed. Everyone is very motivated and inspired to bust these debts, long may it continue, Night x
