I had no idea what a bunch of evil geniuses (genii?) you all were :D

I actually *know* who it is but I'm loving the cold sore idea!

First of my Pot Noodles today, still wading my way through the 7p Purple One bars (I left half at home so I'm getting some help with those!) I bought a pack of crumpets which will last for breakfast for 4 days then I'll have to have porridge on Friday :(

I've not made my banana loaf yet as the bananas are a bit under ripe still so I've got that to look forward to.

I've no idea how much I'm saving but I'm having a super-frugal month and whittled another £20 off my weekly food shop.

No work for me today due to the snow, so I am going to get prepped for lunches etc. Will begin by making baked oatmeal, then might make veg loaf or lentil pâte. Might even make some mince pies.

    Goooood morning everybody :j

Hope you are doing well and at home safe and sound if you've had snow. No snow where I am in South Wales but it has been really icy.

Welcome datlex and 2012Saver  thank you for your posts it just shows that people take LTW not just to save money but for healthy eating options as well.

SanFran thanks for that linky I'll put it on the 1st post with the other recipe ideas.

Florida and everyone else - yes keep going with the LTW as we will be the ones to benefit in the long run :T

FatVonD - maybe you could start to plant the cold sore idea into the culprit's head by complaining that you've got an 'awful tingling feeling on your lip, I'm sure I must have a cold sore coming. I must make sure I don't keep touching my lip because you know how contaaaaagious they can be' :D

lbnblbnb - well at least you are putting your day to doing something productive and which will benefit you :T

There's just one more thing to say , where's Shortie gone. Shortie, come in Shortie.....:D

My car started fine this morning - but my bike isn't having any of it. Even tried to jump start him, but now he's making a funny noise so I'm scared I mide the problem worse. Ooops!

  • Hello all

It's been freezing here today. I hope you are all managing to stay warm.

I got up with the alarm this morning to make my lunch. It wasn't too difficult as I left my phone on the other side of the room to make sure I got up

A boring cheese & mustard pickle sandwich but it's all I could think of without going to too much effort. I wish I had taken a tin of soup from the cupboard as I could have done with something warm but I resisted Pret again!!

Today's saving based on soup, sandwich and crisps is £5.44 :D

Kittiej, thanks for the daily updates. I am beginning to find these challenges very addictive.

    Keep warm and safe.

Just eaten the last of my cheese in a toastie, nothing like 6 days of cheese sarnies to make you look forward to a Pot Noodle!

I've also come up with a cunning plan to stop the butter thief. Just my name on the outside isn't working and I didn't want to offend the whole office by sticking a stroppy message on the outside so I've left a little note *inside* the carton.

I wouldn't mind so much if they just scraped the surface like I do but they gouge big random chunks out  it's like having a house guest that squeezes your toothpaste in the middle :rotfl:

Someone at my husband's office had the same problem with a milk thief. They soon sorted out the problem by sticking a label on the outside of the bottle of milk saying 'breast milk'! :rotfl:
