I think you can freeze mince pies.
Might give yourself a rest from them for a couple of weeks ?
I've just made up my lunch bag for work tomorrow - nowhere near as impressive as many of yours!
I have grapes, banana, 2 satsumas, a cereal bar and a little pack of hazelnuts for some protein (I am veggie) and 2 cans of pepsi max. I've even taken my premade "ready" meal of thai red curry out of the freezer for tea - what's happened to me? Far too organised!:rotfl:0 -
Now onion bajhi and coleslaw wrap is going on my list. Sounds amazing!
Pav - yes fresh pineapple. Hubby doesn't like it so it leaves rather a lot to me. It did brown a little last time. Will have a little experiment :j
Loving the pics everyone! Loving the organisation! :jDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Wow amazingly organised pre prepared lunch photos!! Mine looks not so amazing in the fridge, esp after I discovered dh had pilfered the yoghurt I had put by next to my sandwiches grr!
Tomorrow I have chicken and bacon sarnie filler (not v Mse but I do find it hard to find things I like in sandwiches!) , ww choc caramel wafer and a yoghurt. Also taking small tub of homemade biscuits ds1 and i made earlier. They were the 2nd batch of Christmas biscuits we made, I somehow had bought too much of the ingredients so thought id use them up instead of leaving them in the cupboard for months!
Thank u whoever suggested using those one off sauce purchases as Chutneys, so stupid that I hadn't thought of that before! Be warned jar of cranberry jelly in my fridge!
So my 3 fave sandwich fillers are:
Blt, yum!
Coronation chicken
Cheese and/ or ham and mango chutney
Other fave lunches are:
Cheesy pasta mugshot
Roasted vegetables cous cous lighter choices snack pot from t's
Again lighter choices, ( can u tell i was on ww for a while!) Tuscan bean soup, really hearty! Must get more of that...
Happy pre packed lunching all! XxFull time working mum to 2 boys

Well it's lunchtime, which naturally brought me to this thread to have a nosey at what's been going on since I last visited! I've just had my ham sandwich (bought a half price gammon joint at the weekend & slow cooked it for sandwiches/snacks/dinner, it only cost £5 and is all mine!). I also bought a multipack of crisps and managed to resist indulging in them over the weekend.
I have a tin of really nice and large shortbread biscuits at home that I had for xmas & have been working my way through slowly. But I plan to use those which are left to go in my lunchbox (1 at a time) over the rest of this week and probably next week too. I also have some eggs at home & if they're not used before they get close to their use by date, I'll be bringing egg mayo sandwiches in with me next week!
I'm glad that I joined you all in this challenge as it really makes me feel like I've achieved something when I'm sat eating my lunch each day! :rotfl:£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

I didn't have any sandwich stuff in the fridge at all today. I'm almost ashamed to say that I've made myself a lemon curd sandwich
Still, at least I'm saving money!0 -

Ahh another slow cook gammon joint person to keep me companyGot my gammon and salad cream sandwich waiting for me for 1pm
Bit annoyed with Sainsbury's as they aren't doing the normal joint I buy so had to get a different type of one, hope its just as tasty. I also think I might break up the gammon goodness with some cheese and salad cream sandwiches

lol, glad to have company
Actually, I bought mine from S'burys, it was their be good to yourself range and I would guess was surplus stock left over after xmas. It cooked up nicely though even though I cooked it in just plain water this time, & I hate fatty meat anyway so it was all good for me! It's great as it's cooked so well the joint is falling apart in places so it's a good excuse to pick at it every time I go to the fridge! :rotfl:£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

Hello all! Sorry for being so quiet this weekend - I don't count the weekends as a saving but I would still plan to be on here chatting away normally. I just hibernated this weekend and didn't go online at all - for the first time in aaaaages, I'm actually glad it's Monday and I'm back in work...
My munch for today is/was cereal for breakfast, and then a cheese and pickle sandwich for lunch. I'm tired and frazzled today so I'm munching the broken digestives that have been following me around since Wednesday accompanied by a hot choc in my thermos flask (one of a handful of freebies from a previous hotel stay), and plan to soon after attack the mini choc roll and 2 remaining orange Matchmakers from Christmas.
Diet? Pah.... today is a soul food day. Will try and pop back to Friday's posts and catch up. Hugs to all xxApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500
