You are very welcome babes
I am seriously thinking of buying a food flask. I want something large enough to take things like curry and rice or chilli and rice but not too big. I thought on around 0.8l would be large enough. I'll have to investigate.Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
I'm sure they are cheaper in Lidl's, have to look next time I'm in there. These need to be cooked first as well so I don't know what they would be like if you froze the extra? I am now thinking mini banquet mmmm.
If you have more filo pastry than you need or wanted to make half and half you could make mini spring rolls too.
Brie and grape? I've never heard of that - you must tell us what that's like
Brie and grape is yummy! M&S also put cranberry sauce in theirs toobut we don't buy M&S sandwiches any more do we girls?
I've decided scrambled eggs on toast is my third favourite though (sorry cheese and tomato and brie and grape!)Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

I decided to start taking my lunches to work about 2 years ago when I quit smoking, double down on the savings so to speak. Have saved an absolute fortune but does nobody else get sick of packed lunches! Finding it very boring now!
I get very bored of packed lunches - especially as sometimes i'm working a 13 hour shift so need two meals. I try to vary what i'm bringing as much as possible. We have a toaster and microwave at work so this week i'm doing scrambled eggs on toast. I must admit, as hard as i try, sometimes a cafe/takeaway does call me, but i try to be as good as possible. It may be boring at times but i've done pretty well money wise, limiting my budget to £10 a week. Sometimes i combine a fortnight and make meals to freeze, roasts, casseroles, even lasagne.0 -

Still not back in work (monday:eek:) but have not succumbed to a Subway, Greggs or takeaway all week, Quite secretly proud of myself as I have been out and about.
Been shopping today and have my munchies ready planned in the fridge - just have to remember to take them now.0 -
FVD, no we must not shop at M&S :rotfl:
emslovesmickey welcome :j a budget of £10 a week is a really respectable amount so don't worry about the odd blip, I sympathise with the 13 hour days that's a long day.
g-t-s hello  I have just bought a small flask to try it out so if all goes well I will buy a bigger one and one of the boys can have the small one.
Well done WW for avoiding the shops :T I thinbk you are right about the planning and the remembering!Karma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -

We had a calendar from the Chinese
So at the request of MAM (hope you don't mind me calling you that btw, I should have asked really, whoops) and Shortie the next time you post tell us what your fave 3 lunches or sandwiches are. These will be put on the 1st post as an ideas reference for when we hit the doldrums. Obviously if you have more than 3 you can post more and you can post your own concoctions as long as you let us all in on your secret and they must be magnificent concoctions as well
I need to go and have a think to make sure I don't stick to cheese, but off the top of my head I am thinking Quorn chilli to be eaten with bread maybe?, Cheese and tomato sandwich and stuffing sandwich. I'm Hank Marvin now
