Well I usually have a cooked breakfast on Fridays with my work mate, its become something of a weekly thing. Then the rest of the time buy the odd stuff lol. But I may well stick with the Friday breaky thing and then the other days do the toast thing. But I have been good this week as the only thing I did by is a bottle of diet coke for £1 as I forgot one from home. SO I would say I have saved around £7 odd quid from what I have worked out my sandwiches cost me to buy all the ingrediants.

I was actually very proud of my self today as I usually get a sneeky mcdonalds on the way back from work as I only do half days on Friday but didn't today and made a sandwich at home.

Also as another aside I have a really bad bad habit of buying take aways for dinner even though I have food in the house!! But all this week I haven't had one take away which is a miricle for me lol. So not only am I doing the lunch thing I am trying to stop having any take aways at all this month as well. It is harder than it sounds when you have become used to them (read probably addicted to them :()

So on a real mission at the moment lol :rotfl::T
I got a Christmas card from the Indian takeaway!

We had a calendar from the Chinese :D

So at the request of MAM (hope you don't mind me calling you that btw, I should have asked really, whoops) and Shortie the next time you post tell us what your fave 3 lunches or sandwiches are. These will be put on the 1st post as an ideas reference for when we hit the doldrums. Obviously if you have more than 3 you can post more and you can post your own concoctions as long as you let us all in on your secret and they must be magnificent concoctions as well :D

I need to go and have a think to make sure I don't stick to cheese, but off the top of my head I am thinking Quorn chilli to be eaten with bread maybe?, Cheese and tomato sandwich and stuffing sandwich. I'm Hank Marvin now

Calendar from the Chinese here too :o

The frozen veggie samosas are these but they look a bit pricey, £4.50 for 20, though I suppose 2 a day would work out at about 45p per portion? Not sure how big they are though:

But found this really easy recipe for making them:

    Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

    December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.10

    3 favourite sandwiches:

    Cold sausage with English mustard

    Cheese and piccalilli

Not sure about the third, maybe brie and grape? Or cheese and tomato?

I'm sure they are cheaper in Lidl's, have to look next time I'm in there. These need to be cooked first as well so I don't know what they would be like if you froze the extra? I am now thinking mini banquet mmmm.

If you have more filo pastry than you need or wanted to make half and half you could make mini spring rolls too.

Brie and grape? I've never heard of that - you must tell us what that's like

Ham and coleslaw sandwiches - but you have to get those large pieces of ham and the smaller pieces of bread. Then you can fold the ham over with coleslaw in the middle, so the bread doesn't get soggy and the coleslaw won't fall out of the bottom when eating.

I need to think about the other 2.

Hey juno that is a fantastic idea! You could do that with Quorn roll too, and I love Quorn roll and coleslaw sarnies and Q and tomato and onion.

Just thrown ingredients into the sc for chilli. 4 portions should work out at 55p each plus bread roll at 8p sees me at 63p leaving room for something else out of my £1 per day budget.

This MSE stuff if brilliant :T

I'm starting to do this too, I succeeded last week (all but one day) and managed to save at least £15 just in the 4 days.
