Yes Shortie I agree. Anything that makes it feel less like deprivation and more like I know exactly what I'm eating as I made it, its cheaper and look at the lovely napkin
Talking of which, prepare to be inspired

If nothing else this has made me think about fruit in a separate dish, or some cucumber slices or sticks. Of course it all depends how much time we have but sometimes it's nice to vary things a bit
:j
Some other ideas came to me:
1. A friend who loves pork pies cuts them into quarters and wraps in foil.
2. Before now I've made toast at home, quickly put a bit of butter between the slices, wrapped in foil and then eaten on the train. I did get some funny looks and one guy said where's mine?!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Shortie and mam what an excellent idea re making your lunch more interesting, those pictures are fab mam.
I think it's really nice how everyone is sharing stories and recipes and don't forget that by using up what you have at home you will reduce the amount of waste your household produces and cut down on packaging from shop bought items which is better for the environment so you save money and save the planet - very well done peeps :TKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000 -
So far so good, 2 days back at work, no money spent! I didn't even leave the office on weds at lunchtime so I wouldn't be tempted.
Might make my lunch for tomorrow now. I think it's the 'effort', yeah I know, of making the actual sandwiches. Which is clearly not an effort yet seems to be a mental block thing for me! It comes from always having to make my lunch for school for as long as I can remember- my mum was attempting to train us, she's VERY mse, so I should know better really...Full time working mum to 2 boys

I know exactly what you mean clairey about the mental block. I used to work in a shop and made loads of sandwiches. However the thought of making own was uninspiring- that was until we all found each other! It's great to be spurring each other onKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000

Hey thanks for the welcome kitties :-)
Well if my maths is right I should be saving around £55 - 60 in the 22 days we have left. It's kind of scary when you start to do sums and realise your spending around £130 a month on lunch at work! That's with me saying I spend around £5.50 a day :eek:0 -
OK AFK I'll put ya down for £60 to give you a bit of a challengeKarma - the consequences of ones acts."It's OK to falter otherwise how will you know what success feels like?"1 debt v 100 days £20000
