  • having a lazy day today as ds2 is full of cold and I feel like I'm starting with it too. Might do some more baking at some point though. Did banana bread and mars bar cake yesterday but it won't last long enough to put it in the boys lunch boxes.

Have no snow yet. Boys disappointed but I'm secretly relieved as snow makes getting to work a nightmare!!

  • I have been debt free since October 2011 and yes, the mse way of living has definitely stayed with me... Calculator in hand, working out cheapest options, sticking to the shopping list... Or it could just be me?!?

  • Hello!!!

All the payments gone out now for the debts. Now to keep the account in the black till the mortgage comes out. Hoping to have enough in their one day so we are always in the black!

Some good news, I have had a little pay rise at work! I got promoted in nov but have now proved myself worthy ( I hope!) so that will give us a little more to play with a month. Next month will be good as also have no council tax to pay........if all goes to plan I am hoping to put £300 away in the debt fund as well as paying off the monthly amounts.

Me and the hubby have set ourselves the challenge of paying off everything bar the loan by the end of the year, it's a big ask with the loan being a big chunk every month, but I love a challenge and I hate to lose!!

  • Food plan for next week done and compiling a shopping list. We have no snow here yet so praying that it holds off long enough for me to go to the market tomorrow! Need to buy a bit more meat this week as my freezer is almost empty. Gonna save what we don't spend on the food each week and fill the freezer with meat. Not sure wether to do cheap meat man in van, ald! or do butcher! Where do you all get your meat??

Other than that not much else to report.
