  • Welcome along Weeble!

Well this week has had its up and downs.........................the loan went out and annoyingly put us £19 over the overdraft:mad:, but we have only spent on fuel and the kids school dinners for the half term (the boys have them on a fri as a treat) this week. Massive pat on the back for us!:D

Payday has also been this week. After a long talk with the hubby, we have decided to put less to the debt fund this month so we have a bit more of a buffer so we can stay in the overdraft and slowly work our way out of it.
So, £100 has gone to the debt fund and have paid the tesco and studio for this month. Barclay will come out next week.

Will be meal planning tomorrow, has worked really well this week. Then will be skipping (well the kids might, :rotfl:) into town to the market for the veg.

Not much else to report. Still determined (and the hubby is still on board) so all going well. Usually feeling deprived at this point suddenly NEEDING everything! lol.

  • Hi rags, just wanted to say goodluck and loving the new diary.

Love the talk about the market, I used to go there as a child with my mum to get our fruit and veg and then onto the sweetie stall.
  • Hello!!! Yippee to new friends and old friends on my journey!! Glad you all are here for me to ramble to.:rotfl:

Meal plan is done for next week and shopping list done ready for tomorrow. Still got bananas left so will be making banana loaves for lunch boxes. Found it freezes really well so no waste.

I have also decided this is the year I will get my body back. Ds2 is 4 years old and I resemble a 6 month pregnant lady!! Kinda mucked up my metabolism slimming using shakes for my wedding so have put the weight back on (and more:() but its all around my tummy. Started eating more healthy this week and having less processed meals, just need to get into doing exercise rather than chilling on the sofa. Ummmmmm, might be a very hard habit to break!

Well done for being so organised, I'm very jealous of people who can meal plan successfully :rotfl: Best of luck for this year and hope to see the debts come down nicely

2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!
  • i think 4 years deserves a meal, any discount vouchers about?! :rotfl: shame I haven't done half as well as you in the 4 years on here:o

Well food shopping done for another week and on budget :D it's very sad that I am quite enjoying the challenge of getting it under budget. Me and the calculator are now best buddies! For those who are now debt free, does this way of living stay with you?

Also sorted out new PIN numbers for the spending account. Once they come I will transfer a set amount each month so that's all we have to spend. The normal cards will be locked away in the kitchen so no temptation.

Love it when a plan comes together :rotfl:
