If the boys could use thermal mugs at different times to the adults, then you could share them which saves on buying any extra. I've just got the one but then DS tends to use it for one of his evening clubs and I'm more during the day. Haven't had the (dis)pleasure of standing on the sidelines of footie or rugby as he's not a sporty type.

Good idea to check on the channel front with your parents. Fingers crossed that works out ok. DS love films too but we don't have Movies either - we tend to record them when they get onto mainstream tv and they don't take long to come out these days.

Could the cinema become a half-way house type treat? Wonder if that would still cost less than having the Movie channel but they get to see a new film every now and then? Taking the thermal mugs of course :D

  • Neither of the boys wants to use my metallic purple mug, I have no idea why lol!

Have received money from my ppi claim, £1.5k no less. :D. That's going into the bank today then will be winging its way to the b4rclaycard. So will start the new year in around £17k. That's the least amount of debt we have ever been in on this long long road of trying to clear it.

    Happy, happy, happy

  • HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

    Welcome on board debtfreeoneday!!

I have had a great start to the new year, broke my slow cooker! decided as we are trying to be healthy we would walk to the shop to get another.
Great walk but man did we get drenched!

Now have my chilli bubbling away in my new slow cooker. Got a 3l one this time as my 6.5l one was a little big for the 4 of us.

Going to be looking for new meal ideas today, seem to have got stuck in a rut of having the same meals all the time.

Me too - meal plan to firm up before I do the weekly food shop tomorrow.

At the moment there's 10 items on the shopping list, it should be a cheap week.

Hope the chilli was good in the new slow cooker Rags, sure these things are sent to try us. :)
