Bank checked, and nothing has changed since yesterday. Nothing in or out??!! Doesnt happen often, but its a nice feeling. Nothing transferred to the debt fund though.......
£10 sent to the n3xt account yesterday has got there. Thought i might build up some credit so that if i [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE]need something i can get it and it will feel like its free. I tend to go for their accessories and slippers/night wear and their jeans.
Nothing much to report, waiting for the barclayc4rd payment to go out next week then thats it for another month and will just try to add to the debt fund. Should have some petrol payments coming from work to go in.
My challenge this month is to reign in the food bill. Need to get back into the habit of cooking from scratch, just some days i dont have the motivation and get tired that the hubby can only do processed ready frozen stuff he just needs to bang in the oven. A stepford wife i will never be i dont think. :rotfl: They dont work for a start. Kids have got into helping me with baking so thats great, cheap treats for them. Have been watching jamies 30 min meals, but i dont think i would eat some of the stuff never mind the kids! still, its inspiration. Hubby calls it food !!!!!!! :rotfl:December 2018: £20,850.24. Start of another week, the payment has gone out for barcl4ycard so that's it now for the month. 😇
Ds2 has been very poorly this weekend. Running a high temp that has made him drowsy and still be dreaming when he has woken up. Has been awful to see him that ill.
Managed to do some baking as couldn't go out anywhere. I did spiced apple muffins and choc chip muffins and banana bread.
Hubby did the shopping so managed to come in under £70. Kids didn't go to the childminder as ds2 still poorly so money saved there.
Now to find ways to save money and make more!!!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Really need to make more money this month! August was always gonna be expensive, and I knew it was tight. Either that or I will have to use some of the debt fund.
Ds2 has decided he would like an army bedroom, so hinting to relatives to get him bits like curtains for his birthday. My brother is getting him 3 little canvases made with pictures of his tank on it for the army theme. Knew him being in the army would come in handy!!
As for us, still unsure of what to get him. He keeps asking for a tv as ds1 has an old one for videos but won't always let him watch it, yet we were planning on doing tv's for both at Xmas. Was looking at getting a pre owned dsi as he had the very old version that only works when it wants to...........
Am getting into using bits in the cupboard to make lunches for me. Yesterday was throw anything in soup, today it's pasta with sausage balls I got on yellow sticker and have sat in the fridge for a week!
We will survive this month, I will make sure of it!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

I know what you mean about this month being expensive, I can't see me making it to the end of the month without using the dreaded CC:(.0

Well there is definitely more more month than money this month. Overdraft fees will have increased next month
Have got ds2's next size hand me downs all washed and on the washing line. Glad he's not fussed about them not being new, but he is happy that they are new to him.
Not much else going on. Food bill was on budget this month, and we bulked buy cat food and cat biscuits so that should help along the way.
Just need to get the school stuff sorted now. Have most of ds2's but need all of ds1's and both need school shoes- only have £30 in the clothes fund though :eek:December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Morning rags, does your local morrisons do clothing, the one at M*recamb* does (hope you can work that town out) and I've bought some bits and they have been good quality, just mentioning it because i noticed an advert for there school uniform and it seemed pretty good value.0

Hello, we are nearly at the end of this month, thank goodness!
Ds2 had a great birthday, loved his dsi and we went to watch planes at the cinema.
Have got ds1's school stuff, just shoes and lunchboxes to get now and all done ready. Will be over my £30 but thats nothing new this month, everything seems to be over budget.
Budget done for next month and on paper looks better, just need to stick to it now. Food seems to be my main area of overspend, and i dont buy loads of carp neither!!! Need to reign the hubbys love of taking tenners out the bank. I know he needs money in case whilst driving, but he doesnt cross a pay as you go road or bridge everyday, so its going somewhere?!?!?!
Next month i will start putting an extra £50 a month in the xmas fund so im not struggling. Put the extra i would have put to the debts in it last year in nov and shopping wasnt as stressful as knew i could get the kids a decent set of pressies.
Need to get back into meal planning, freezer getting low again. We have decided as a family to try and get out of eating processed stuff, so gonna buy those tin take away dishey things and do my own chicken nuggets, fish goujons etc and freeze them ready to use. I dont mind doing a day in the kitchen if it means we are eating better. And really, its just as easy making your own, just the time needed.

Just stopping by to say Hi Rags
You are doing:beer: so well with your debt busting, I am 1 year in to my DMP with a starting figure around the same as yours.
I am also on a mission to feed the family less processed food and eat more healthily so will be lurking to pinch your ideas! :rotfl::rotfl:
I had the  of uniform and shoe shopping last week and no matter how much I budget always seems to cost more!
I have a Superman:A who also seems to spend hours looking through the Argoooooose book going I like that one, that one that one......:o
