I wish it would be gone, but would have another £15k to go first. lol.
I am gonna leave the loan, and get back to concentrating on the halifax cc. It only had 15 months 0% so need to get it payed off before then. Printed off the form to change the direct debit (the hubby gets inpatient when waiting on the phone for them to answer) so will be doing that ready to send tomorrow. Gonna pay £200 a month off as its only £20 more a month than i would be, and will just put less into the debt fund.
Nothing else to report really. bit boring really..........December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Money transferred to debt fund and house fund. Both coming along nicely.
The house fund was supposed to be for the finishing touches downstairs (dining table, pans, fan for living room etc) but the kitten has had other ideas and started stripping the wallpaper off the hallway/stairs!!:eek: That was gonna be done last after we had done upstairs and the attic hatch widened as will get ripped/messy etc with all the moving up and down the stairs with furniture and that.
Weather still nice up here, washing nicely drying on the line, and no heating needed. Will have to input another set of readings soon and see if i can get the dd own a bit more.
Had a little payrise this month that will come into play on augusts wage, gonna transfer that straight into the debt fund so i cant get used to having it and it disappearing into the black hole of my current account. Not going to count it in my budget either so my mind will be tricked into forgetting it exists.
The barclaycard payment comes out next week, so with a little overpaying on the halifax cc i may just be able to come in under £23k. May use some of the money in the debt fund just to make it happen!! Piece of mind, motivation and all that.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

2p transferred to the debt fund today, I have to say these little bits add up quicker than i thought they would.
Not going to be able to get under £23k this month like i thoughtbut will def manage it next month!
I knew the summer months would be slower in the debt department, with mot, tax etc due for both cars, and then it being the summer hols and having childcare to pay for. I just hadnt banked how hard it would be to see the debt go up and overpayments slow down some what. But, onwards and upwards. A blip is a blip.
I am actually quite proud at how realistic i have become. The old me at the start 4 years ago would of plowed on regardless and overpayed and wondered why i i kept hitting the overdraft wall and had a £4k overdraft! :A I guess i am living and learning.
Should only need the basics this week with regards to shopping. Its the last week of doing lunch boxes next week so will hopefully reduce the bill by not having to buy as many things for them. The fruit bill will reduce for sure! (will eat big apples at home, but only the small kid size ones at school?!?!)
And it looks like the nice weather is continuing!!! :beer:December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Well i have had a productive few weeks. Have finally sent off my license to change my name, have sent off the dd thing to increase the amount paid to the halifax cc, managed to stay out the overdraft (the fee from last month was only £4:j) and the food shopping has been in budget.
The debt fund is coming along nicely. Hoping to have the halifax cc paid off by jan at the latest, but dec would be fantastic.
Need to take the gas and elec readings today and enter them to the website. Not hoping for great things but fingers crossed the dd wont go up.
Hubby's phone bill has dropped to £37 a month, my august wage will include the payrise. That will wing its way straight to the debt fund. All good.
Still motivated, but frustrated by the amount coming down so slowly.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

But on the other hand your debt isn't going up. And when it has it has been for unavoidable reasons, not frivolous frittering.
You are bound to feel frustrated at the time it is taking to pay down the debt, but it took a long time to get into debt too.
I am sure things will start going the right way faster now that you have paid off two debt.
Just keep on keeping on!

You are totally right chev! Thank you. :A
Feeling a bit more positive today.
Meter readings done and inputted. Said i was £60 in credit before the readings so will see what happens when these are put onto the account. Will resist the urge to take that money back as will prob need it in there over winter.
Not much else going on, end of the month and all that.
Have been on holiday from work this week and again next week so fuel costs right down as walking everywhere. Makes me well in credit with the spending account
Its all going in the right direction, just need to focus on that rather than the debt total.December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

I have been number crunching as not much else to do at the end of the month. Figured I might just be able to pay off the Halifax cc by Xmas this year. Which takes me into the new year with just 2 debts to pay.
Next year the plan will be to pay off the barclaycard which will leave just the mahooosive loan to tackle. The plan for that is to hopefully transfer some of it to a 0% card to help pay it off faster and save on interest.
So that's the plan. I will be debt free 2 years from now!!!! 24 months!!
On other news, food shopping came in at £60 this week. Thanks to getting my £5 off voucher and other vouchers off what I normally buy. Have to say its the first time I have come across a snotty till person when handing over my vouchers! Silly woman.
Bought a bike last week for £20. So we went on a family bike
ride yesterday. It was so much fun and the kids loved it. We ended up biking around for an hour and a half! Ds2 was out like a light last night and both boys had a lie in this morning.:D
Checked the bank this morning, no changes at all, nothing has gone out and the weekend shopping hasn't come out yet. Means nothing transferred to the debt fund, oh well there is always tomorrow.
How is everyone else?December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Have been to the library this morning as the boys really wanted to join the creepy house challenge they have advertised. They have to aim to read 6 books in the summer hols. They get small prizes along the way like book marks etc and a medal if they complete it.
I got myself a cook yourself slim cookbook and a novel. The hubby can't moan about getting another book as its free and goes back when I have read itdates written on the calendar so we don't occur any fines.
Gonna have a go at the brownies in the book later. Will get my chocolate and cakes fix for less calories. Can't be bad!!!
May even get my Zumba DVD out and do it. Still want to lose a stone and determined to get rid of this muffin top!!!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Well ds1 keen to get his creepy house challenge medal, claimed he had read one of his books in 10 mins!!! I think not bless him.
Kids playing hopscotch outside as found the chalk I had stashed in the cupboard. For 10 mins they haven't argued which must be a record!!
Bank checked and still in the black, the water and other bits have come out so paid twice this month as were coming out at the start of the month??? Transferred £1.09 from the accounts to the debt fund.
Still no word from the bank to say they have changed the direct debit for the cc, and no change made on the online statements? Gonna set up a payment thing later so I can overpay.
Not sure how, but I am still within the spending accounts money but have gone way over budget for food. I thought I had done well but the figures say otherwise. Must try harder.
Might have to go back to using the calculator as just having a shopping list hasnt worked.
Gone are the days of getting a weeks worth of stuff for £50.
Need to get back into baking goodies for the boys. It has just been too hot to spend all the time in the kitchen cooking.
It's not raining yet today so load of washing done to go on the line. Need to do the bedding but forecast not great.
Email received about my meter readings, no change made to dd amount. Might log in and see how the account is looking.
