Not so long ago it was reported that a customer died, having been electrocuted, in a store belonging to a certain well-know retail chain.
Sigh, it was a contractor carrying out electrical repairs, away from the sales floor.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Is that what people do on health forums? Do people post medical issues like they've only one kidney, then other posters mock them? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The OP reported that the "Ceiling caved in on my toddler head" and that "the manager let slip after that earlier on in the day they had work men out and was deemed as unsafe they had no signs nothing was they was too busy!!!"
I am surprised that this has not been on the National News - the collapse of an entire ceiling that was known to be unsafe and subsequent injury of a child, in spite of the fact that the OP states "doctor said she Was very very lucky to have escaped from cuts and shock".
Shame on you who are not treating this seriously. More worringly, why has the whole thing been hushed up?I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -

Doesn't matter who, or where, where premises open to the public there is a duty of care.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I think before people comment more information, or photographs of the ceiling are required.
A big difference between "ceiling caved in" than "tile fell down".
If it was a solid/plaster ceiling then that falling down would possibly result in closure of the resteraunt, never mind a refund of the meal. However, going on the lack of detail and many resteraunts we have locally, it could have been a lightweight tile roofing - if this hit a toddlers head it would have been enough for a shock and potentially a graze (Could medically be considered as a cut) but would we consider that as "Ceiling caved in"?
I love a McDonalds BTW... so does my three-year-old daughter. It really annoys me when I go though - its full of young women outnumbered by their kids who are forever moaning about something be it the temperature, full kids area, customers brushing past ... yet they'll stand a foot away from the front door and smoke when plenty of other families with kids are using the entrance.
