Earlier on the ceiling caved in and landed right on my 17 month old head whilst eating her happy meal the manager let slip after that earlier on in the day they had work men out and was deemed as unsafe they had no signs nothing was they was too busy!!! Needless to say in still raging all they could offer was a refund and free mcflurry!!
I don't believe this happened.0 -

I wish I never posted now, the amount of !!!! I've had. I was in shock.. Yes, my child had a ceiling put on her head. No not concrete and I am so grateful she didn't have worser injuries. I am a caring mother and it scares me to think anything could of happen to her! Some are you are treating this as a joke, I hope you can live with your conscious taking the !!!! out of a 17 month old BABY!!! Disgusting.
I would like a apologie YES! My child could of been killed..blinded... She had SHOCK and a few cuts.. Please may I remind you this is about a BABY not an adult.
Pay no attention to the judgemental/trolling posts. They happen on most threads. You're perfectly entitled to feel that their offer of refund/McFlurry wasn't enough. I suspect that had their attitude been better, you wouldn't be so angry.
Hope neither of you have any lasting problems xx0 -
Er..if you don't want your McFlurry, can I have it?Je suis sabot...0

However, I do also feel the OP is over egging it.....but then I guess most parents would when its their child compared to someone elses
This.
If it was as bad as the op is claiming "Ceiling caved in" I do not believe for one minute all the manager did was offer a McFlurry as way of an apology.
The op also states it was very busy at the time so I would imagine a ceiling falling down on a baby would attract a lot of attention from the customers, therefore the manager would be under close scrutiny to ensure the situation is dealt with in the right way.0 -
I think it is appauling with some peoples comment here,
the fact that it a a Mcdonalds doesn't really matter. If you are visiting any kind of business it is their responsibility to make sure the establishment is safe for visitors or staff. If someone washes the floor a sign is put up, the fact that the ceiling was not safe it was the managers job to deal with this appropriately.
I would make sure I contacted Head Office and Health and safety office. If he could let this slip what else could be going on.
I am really glad your daughter is not Badly hurt. accidents do happen and I am sure she will forget this as she gets older.
Please do take this further just to make sure that no-one else gets hurt.0 -
What do you call a baby with a tile on it,s head?

I think, OP, you should complain to either a local newsapaper or local radio station - because - even if it was just one tile - somebody is being very negligent and cavalier in their attitude and their responsibilities to make the 'restaurant' safe. Not so long ago it was reported that a customer died, having been electrocuted, in a store belonging to a certain well-know retail chain.
Or maybe even get on to the Health and Safety Executive.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
