Thanks Lush and Stef and nessie  for your support and encouragement.

Maybe it will help if I tell you more...I'm a veggie so always do green days. I'm worried as I did have a few gains before, but never as early on as week 3!! I thought as I put on 2 st so quickly it would come off quickly? But it isn't proving so, so I've panicked.

I feel like I've been eating WAY TOO MUCH :o

    For example, I'd have ~

a huge cooked brekky of tinned toms, mushrooms, pots, baked beans and a slice of wm bread (HEB) with cheese (HEA) .

Then houmous (HEB) and dips like carrots, toms, celery, onions and new pots for snack

Then rice and spicey beans for lunch

Then a big pot offruit maybe pineapple or berries for snack in the pm

Then pasta and veg in passata or srit fry for tea.

    I also have free yogs.

I weigh everything I should be like the cheese and houmous etc. and the yog is defo free (Shape and Activia). My head is telling me it does work, it did last time, it will do again. But then I think, I'm eating SO MUCH food, and I put on two pounds this week so I'm doing something wrong. I've really enjoyed eating so much this week. Having a cooked breakfast everyday was lovely and I'm panicked that I'll have to cut down?

My consultant texted me last night but I didn't reply as I was in bed sulking. I'll text her back now.

I'm sorry to sound like a pathetic desparate twit. I've struggled with my chaotic eating for 20 years, and I felt SO HAPPY when I got down to a sensible weight, and although I'm only a stone and a half more than that, I feel like I'm 20 stone again! Need to get a grip ;)

Im sorry you had a gain Frogga :(. Its not *week is it? I always gain just before it arrives and stays on for at least 3 days once its started.

With regards to your menus. Instead of having masses of carbs through the day (ie in this menu you mentioned you have had spuds in 2 of 3 meals).

You have no protein in your diet? Have you thought about having quorn in some meals - the mince and the pieces are free on green (i think - someone will correct me if im wrong :o).

Secondly how big are your actual meals? I know SW say you can eat as much pasta etc as you like but its best to keep in mind that eating huge amounts of pasta or rice will amount to a lot of calories (sorry all :o) - ie 100 grams of pasta is something daft like 300 calories, and similar for rice. So instead of having rice and pasta every day it would be best to have one or the other?

    http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/category/green#.UP-x3Sd1HTo

There are plenty of recipes on this site for green days - so what i am trying to say is cut down on the pasta and rice (while on the subject is it the white rice/pasta? as this is a refined product meaning the body has more trouble breaking it down).

I have a colleague who is very into nutrition/fitness and says that eating a load of pasta in the evening is not a great idea because it takes the body much longer to burn off. You would also be better off with brown rice and whole wheat pasta as this is a healthier option (less refined product) ..

ETA - How many yogs are you having a day?

I always do green days - unless i go to my mums when i eat meat (it's too expensive to buy for myself :o)

My typical day (if i don't ruin it with stupid sweets) is:

    B - Porridge with banana
S - Yogurt & either fruit or SW roasties
L - Normally LO stir fry or quorn chilli or pasta
    S - 25g popcorn popped myself (4syns)
D - Stir fry with 1/2 quorn & noodles & 1/2 veg or quorn chilli with rice or soup with scan bran (miracle food!) or beany pasta
S - If heb left i have cereal bars or scan bran with cheese & usually some choc

I don't think you are neccessarily eating too much - but it might help to increase the vege part of your lunches & tea

Also do you have the same thing all the time? Might be worth messing with your body by changing breakfasts etc.

What about drinking more? (not alcohol!) a few member of my group have seen better results the weeks they drink more!

Also, have you thought about not having bread? My mum normally gains if she has bread

Do you like lentils? If so, try the lentil shepards pie its brill & not got the white bread/potatoes!

Do you eat eggs? (great source of protein & fill you up!)

I read somewhere that the more protein you eat the less hungry you get & the same prog showed that eating a dinner with a glass of water against the same meal but blitzed into a soup - the soup kept the person fuller than the meal & water seperately!

Crikey i can sure talk

Thanks again for the responses lovely people

    In reply to the comments.....

The protein I have is beans, eggs and cheese. I eat beans ALOT! Either with the cooked breakfast, or in the chilli at lunch, or with my evening meal.

I stick to 2 HEA's a day, usually cheese, but sometimes one is milk if I have cereal for breakfast instead of a cooked breakfast.

I eat eggs scrambled with breakfast, or an omlette or fritta for lunch, or on toast.

I measure out my rice and pasta to 50g portions. The pasta is always brown, but I use packets of sainsburys savory rice which is free, and I have 1/2 at a time which says is 1 portion.

I have STACKS AND STACKS of veg on my plate. Defo more than 1/3 of the plate is veg.

I do stick to the same old thing this is true, but as a veggie, and a fussy one who doesn't eat the 'fake' meat, I guess I am limited.

I take on board all the comments about alot of carbs. I do eat pots alot, and rice and pasta in the same day often. But the plan says that's ok? And this is where I struggle. I know last week I ate LOADS of fruit. LOADS AND LOADS. Tubs of pineapple, melon, big bag of grapes, and 2 tubs of blue berries. I know I'm a HUGE GREEDY PIG/FROG but they say unlimited?? Do I just take it too far??

I've had an eating dissorder for so long. The lowest I ever weighed was 6 st, and the heaviest I ever got to was 21 st. On December 1st I was 13st 2lb. Then it was Christmas all month (:o) and on Jan 1st I was 15 st 2lb. Now I'm 14st 10 1/2lb. At 13st 2lb I was really really happy. A curvy size 12 and thrilled, even though still over weight as 'the book' says I should be 10st at 5ft 5in.

I'm frightened that if I have to 'cut down' I'll panic and binge, but reality must sink in and tell me I simply cannot eat all that amount of food if I want to lose weight. Even if it is 'free food'?

I really should get on with some work before I'm fat and sacked.....

Personally i don't measure my pasta or rice - never have done (ok i lie i did when doing fast forward but that was strict!)
    & i never have brown pasta/rice - its expensive :(

What about lentils/couscous/quinoa/bulgar wheat etc. etc. you could give those a try

Don't give up - write a food diary & stick to what you have been doing - try not to 'blow' it

Your body has just gone into shock because you are taking away the extra stuff you ate in December :rotfl:

Please don't give up - keep it up

Try to drink more water this week - worth a try

    Hi Nessie,

You're right, I must not give up. I do have cous cous sometimes, it's ok but a little bit pleh ;) but I do eat it for a change. Lentils are yummy and I put them in lots of my bean mixes.

I don't drink straight water, but I do drink cups and cups of black tea. Possibly 15 or more cpus a day, more at the weekend. God, I do everything in extreems!!!

So, I'll write a food diary daily I think to keep track for myself and for my lovely helpers on here. Thankyou very much. You don't know me, but you're really helping. Thankyou.

Breakfast ~ Oatsosimple (HEB) and Milk (HEA) and banana

snack ~ 60g pot of houmous (HEB) carrot sticks, celery, 5 new pots, radish, cherry toms

lunch ~ 1/2 packet of savory rice and homemade veg chilli (peppers, mushrooms, onions, celery, broc, and mixed spicey beans with chilli powder)

    post more later xx

No worries - i like helping - just need to learn to help myself (but not to more sweets!)

I know what you mean about couscous - i just use it instead of rice when i have a chilli or something in the freezer that i want for lunch the next day - saves alot of time cooking rice & washing up!

You say i don't know you - but i was on this thread before when you were too & if you live near Ipswich - i'm sure we know people who know each other:rotfl:!!! Such a small world!

Just came on to give you a big hug frogga. Sorry if I haven't read properly but are you eating any differently now than when you lost all the weight successfully? I really don't think the quantities should matter if you're eating on plan. I know it sounds boring but keep up the SFs like you do with your veg sticks for snacking.

Like lush I lost 3.5 stone but after my first big loss I settled into an average of 1 to 1.5 lbs a week but it was up and down, often 2-3lbs fortnightly with a STS or small gain in between. Holidays were always a big gain but that came off quckly when I got home.

I'd suggest you keep posting your daily menus and hang on in there!
