...Oh flipping heck! Weigh in last night. Week 3. 1st week I lost 6lb, 2nd week I lost 1.5 lb and lasty night I actually put on 2lb. I'm really upset. I just knew it wasn't working...:o

Last year I lost 7 st with SW ans was doing really well. Then I went MAD at Christmas and actually put 2 stone back on in December. I joined again, in a panic after seeing the damage I'd done to myself. I wasn't pleased with the 6lb in week one as I knew most of it was just water and volume of junk that I'd been eating. Week 2 to lose 1.5lb is rubbish when you're still 4 stone overweight, and then last night to have put 2lb back on!!!

I went home and stuffed my face. Yes, I'm aware that won't help. I ate toast, bread while the toast was toasting, cake, cake and chocolate bar for the kids packed lunch. Then I felt like I was going to pass out so I went to bed. I still feel really wobbly this morning.

I've paid for a 12 week countdown, but I don't want to go again.... I just want to jump into my pond and hybernate.....

  • I had a sneaky peek....yes I know I shouldn't :o
I've made in down to the next stone bracket. :)
Still a very long way to go but heading for my club 10 nicely.
DH is away, work is rubbish and I've been in a pants mood. This has cheered me a wee bit.

Please please please don't just not go back! Buying a countdown to committed to investing in yourself and your future. I know how frustrating it can be to see an unexpected gain but the plan does work. I had just over 3.5st to lose and saw consistent smaller losses at first but then it gradually got faster with losses remaining around 2/3lbs a week.
You may dream of a quick fix where you see regular bigger losses but you have chosen a route of healthy, gradual weightloss. Please go and speak to your consultant about how you're feeling, maybe take a couple of food diaries with you. Use this forum as a sounding board for your concerns and stresses.
If you are doing extra easy maybe try a few red and/or green daya orr vuce versa.
It doesn't always happen the same way second time around but give it a chance and it will happen - even if it takes a bit longer.

    ((hugs)) to anyone in need

Looking at this your evening meal doesn't contain any SF's, corn on the cob and peas are only free foods, is there anyway that you can alter these and then you will be safe in the knowledge your veg intake is up.

Frogga - Lush is correct, you know SW works and this is why you purchased the countdown so you have to stay commited. If i were to give up everytime i saw a slight gain or a stay the same i wouldnt be here now, but knowing i am eating healthily and no longer getting heartburn or any other uncomfortableness i am happy to keep plodding along because when i do get a loss its great. It also feels brill going to get some new bits in the sales this week and M&S clothing now being the next size down so for me another incentive to carry on.

Sharalee - STEP AWAY from the scales. As discussed this week if you are weighing at home and see any fluctuation in weight be it for better or worse it will drastically attack your mood if those in group dont match. I know a few times i have seen a good few pound loss on my home scales to only get a 0.5lb loss when i get into group.

So for me today it is a quick dash to Asda to pick up my WII fit board and start shifting my butt to do some exercises and with weather like this i great way to keep warm without having the heating on :rotfl:
Mealwise its along these lines EE,
    B, 2 sausages (1syn), egg, mushroom tomatoes.
L, - undecided as of yet
T, roast chicken with roasted meditteranean veg and cous cous.
    S, mullerlight greek style (0.5) 2x toast + low low (heb + 2.5)
Slice of spanish orange cake (3.5)

frogga don't quit PLEASE go back, you know you can do it - you lost 7st last year isn't that proof enough?
Ok, so your journey this time around hasn't gone to your plan but look at the bigger picture - in 3 week you have lost 5.5lbs keep that up & you could be 6.5st lighter after a year! (not that you need to loose that much!) They recommend that you loose between 1 & 2lbs a week to be healthy
Start today a fresh - you can think of the week as a bunch of roses - you don't have to chuck the whole bouquet if one rose dies!
You have been an inspiration to alot of people on this thread (speaking as one of them) please don't give up :grouphug:

Step AWAY from the scales - they tell lies & don't have your best interests in heart - i was a serial weigher & took my husband hiding them & going cold turkey to realise that they weren't good for me or my mojo

This weeks WI was a STS - not too bad but not that great

I know what i am doing, but need to stop doing it - my mojo has only partly come back to me - i'm bored at work & i still have sweets in the drawer :o

Right i have made up my mind - they are going - i don't care that it is a waste of money - i shouldn't have brought them in the first place - going to do it right after i have posted

Today is going to be tricky though - Pizza hut at lunchtime for a friends 30th birthday - not sure what to have as the pastas are just as bad as the pizza & i don't like salad :o do i just have what i want - within reason & get back onto it after? Why is it so hard?

Thanks Lush and Stef and nessie  for your support and encouragement.

Maybe it will help if I tell you more...I'm a veggie so always do green days. I'm worried as I did have a few gains before, but never as early on as week 3!! I thought as I put on 2 st so quickly it would come off quickly? But it isn't proving so, so I've panicked.

I feel like I've been eating WAY TOO MUCH :o

    For example, I'd have ~

a huge cooked brekky of tinned toms, mushrooms, pots, baked beans and a slice of wm bread (HEB) with cheese (HEA) .

Then houmous (HEB) and dips like carrots, toms, celery, onions and new pots for snack

Then rice and spicey beans for lunch

Then a big pot offruit maybe pineapple or berries for snack in the pm

Then pasta and veg in passata or srit fry for tea.

    I also have free yogs.

I weigh everything I should be like the cheese and houmous etc. and the yog is defo free (Shape and Activia). My head is telling me it does work, it did last time, it will do again. But then I think, I'm eating SO MUCH food, and I put on two pounds this week so I'm doing something wrong. I've really enjoyed eating so much this week. Having a cooked breakfast everyday was lovely and I'm panicked that I'll have to cut down?

My consultant texted me last night but I didn't reply as I was in bed sulking. I'll text her back now.

I'm sorry to sound like a pathetic desparate twit. I've struggled with my chaotic eating for 20 years, and I felt SO HAPPY when I got down to a sensible weight, and although I'm only a stone and a half more than that, I feel like I'm 20 stone again! Need to get a grip ;)

Frogga theres no need to apologise. We are all here because at some point we have had issues with food.

I follow EE and noticed that having a cooked breakfast most mornings saw my weight gain slightly even though what i were eating were well within the limits of the plan. Now i have mainly fruit and yogurt for breakfast most days and i can feel a difference within myself. I dont feel overly full and getting to the point mid day where i start flagging so perhaps going back to the sample menus and giving one of those a go for the week may help?
