rainbow~Cant believe that that is a year.
Will be thinking of you xx
Thanks beanie. I cant beleive its a nearly a year ago as well. Sad timesI wrote a long post to you RFD and it's disappeared, bah! Basically said I hope you feel better when you're with your family and you can support each other, and it's great they are willing to eat SW food but don't beat yourself up if things get in the way a bit, just do your best and look after yourself *hugs*
I :rotfl: at the hair bit as the first thing I did when we got to work was take my helmet off and check my hair was ok! Since I had it cut it's short enough not to get a bump at the bottom but sweatiness could be an issue, and we don't have shower facilities either. Mind you, if we go at OH's pace I don't get too sweaty and I have baby wipes and my makeup in my bag so can sort myself out when I get in!
Thanks Blodwen. I am looking forward to spending time with my family. I havent told any of my friends on the IOM that i am coming back for a few days because i just want to be with the family. I am feeling a bit guilty about this at the moment. I probably really should say i am coming over but will be with the family rather than visiting.Hmm i will have a ponder.Mediterranean_Mum wrote: »

Thanks MM..dont give up even though you had a blow out. The hardest thing when loosing weight is learning how to stop bingeing. I thought i had it under (some sort of loose) control but obviously not because i have had several months of just scoffing.and it has landed me at being the heaviest i have ever been.
I often wonder to myself about how i managed to quit smoking with relative ease (smoker for 10 years + on 20 a day) and yet i still cant recognise what triggers the eating (or i can but i am so consumed i cant control it) ,BUT smoking is really not the same as eating because you HAVE TO eat to live. You can manage without cigarettes.
I wish i could do something to make things easier for you (and everyone else who has/is having the same problems). I dont know why i find comfort in food.. I had a good upbringing and my parents would do anything for their kids, and i was a normal weight until my early 20's and then i ballooned. Its been up & down since.
I find myself looking for some psychological trigger that may have been the cause of the comfort eating but there is nothing that shouts at me.
sorry if thats a bit deep ^^^:o

You don't have to have any red foods at all on EE but if that is the case you might as well do green so you get your extra HEs but just try and incorporate plenty of SFs into the green plan. If you fancied some meat or fish you could do the odd day of EE.
If you're hungry you could have something like a mugshot as a snack, and i know you said not fruit but maybe try some different types of fruit to the usual apples and bananas - I love strawberries at pineapple at the moment. Also Mini Milks are only 1.5, and you could make your own ice lollies/ice pops.
I am looking forward to later in the year when the strawberries from the UK are in full swing.. the ones i had last week were tasteless. I like standing and sniffing them

Thanks rainbowfairydust - I don't really like raw veg, so I'd need hex's/syns to spread the hummous on!
Thanks for the clarification Blodwen, will stick with EE for this first week as it does make me eat my SF.
Will get some Mini Milks in - I used to love those & didn't realise they were so lowI think I'll open the starwberries I picked up yesterday - they go well with black grapes too
Mugshots have shot up in price (and they weren't cheap the last time I ate them)

Could have written that myself!0 -

do you have a poundland or home bargains near you? Poundland do them 3 for £1 and they are about 40p in HB.

Looks like I've managed to pull back on my syns after having way too many at the weekend (including a full bottle of red on Friday night:eek:)
Have added them all up and assuming I only have the syns I've included in today's plan I'll be at 95 syns for the week. It's WI tomorrow morning for me.
Having a Green day today:
B - mushroom omlette followed by a banana
L - Prawn salad sandwich (150g prawns & 2 slices Hovis - 2 HEBs, scraping of butter)
D - Linda McCartney Sweet onion & rosemary sausages, mash & baked beans. Will also make a rice pudding using HEA of semi skimmed milk
Other HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.
Syns: Fruit split lolly - 4.5
Butter 5g - 2
Have got a treat size packet of Magic Stars (3.5 syns) in fridge if I fancy some choccy this evening:T

Thanks - yes we have a Poundland but have B&M, not Home Bargains. Will check out PL when I next go into town
Just had some LF Supernoodles to fill my hunger until dinner

Try not to think of it like that - you have lost a quarter of what you want to lose, which is a huge achievement! When I look at how much I have lost I can't really believe it but it's just those 1 and 2lb losses adding up over all the weeks - just plod on and you'll suddenly realise, wow I've lost x amount!wow thats some choclolate habbit , can i make a suggestion to you
its a tough one but perhaps you should consider limiting the amount of chocolate items you buy in a week then if its not in the house you cannot eat it .....stock up with mullerlight choc and turkish delight and low syn treats instead#
I don't buy chocolate at the minute for this very reason. If it's in and I am craving a snack thats what I'll go for, rather than messing about with making something Best bet is to have something prepared in the fridge.
I have always got a syn free quiche and some form of scan bran muffin/cake - usually topped with Quark/1 Syn tesco value Hot Choc and sweetner. - That kills the sweet-tooth, choc craving and fills.
Last year I didn't look at chocolate, I suspect it was because of the "I must lose every week" insane pressure I put on myself. Stupid mindset that was. This time I'm being a little less of a fool...:D and regularly ruining a weeks hard work. ( 2 packets of shortbread today fortunately they are all gone now!) My other downfall at the mo is alcohol. There's none of that in now either so next week should be a little better than a sts.Skint_Catt wrote: »Hi all, returned to SW class for the umpteenth time yesterday at my heaviest yet
Any suggestions for interesting 'snacks' please other than yoghurt & fruit - preferably free as poss. Having a very hungry day even though I've had a huge jacket potato for lunch!
I avoided EE last time I did SW instead ignorning it for my fave green days. I'm trying really hard at EE this time, but my food diary's still look 'green' but with a bit more superfree & haf the HE's - is this ok? Should I be eating more 'red' free foods aswell?
Thanks xx
Get baking too, make yourself some low syn cake snacks on a sunday, use scan bran as the ingredient - filling stuff and not so bad in cake.0 -
Thanks Swiper - I'm getting salad & more fruit tomorrow - didn't have any in today. Can't stand scan bran - used to grin & bear it with Laughing Cow on a green day (& 2 pints of water), but the cake was beyond diabolical.
I'm an all or nothing person, so I'm happy to do without bread, alcohol, chocolate & cake unless it's the real deal
What are the lowest syn possible meat sausages? Am trying Linda McCartney red onion ones tonight, but need something the whole family would eat rather than buying lots of different variations (not Joe's either - can't afford them!)
