Random question - I've seen on other threads people talking about doing a weekly food shop for £25 per person or less. Is it possible to do that & stay on EE? lean meat seems really expensive as does fruit & veg at the mo, but I'd love to save a few pennies and pounds if I can.
I shop for 4 and this week meal planned to the letter and shopping online came to £72 with Asda but that included all toiletries, laundry and other odds and sods. Only extras have been £3 on branston beans(8 cans) in Morrisons and the steak my daughter wanted this week (£10).

  • Goodness TIE hope everything is OK - thinking about you all and hope you got some sleep last night.

OK WI this morning and so happy :j:j:j:j:j:j:j - down 4.5lb - that's the most I've lost in any one week since the first week.

I know we're not meant to count calories but this is definitely what I need to do and also watch the carb intake.

Ok stress hell today, woke at 3am [loo] couldnt get back to sleep. Hubby was restless too. When alarm went off he tells me hes had chest pains since 4am. He did the NHS direct thing online which screamed DIAL 999 in big red letters. Himself decides to drive over to A&E, son drives me over then walked back to get our car. Spent 4.5 hours wired to machines only to be told all is ok. Now will have to have ECG on for 24/48 hours to try and capture another episode [been having them for few days but not said] but of course will have to wait for a referral first . I went back to work for afternoon but am so tired I have no idea what I did :D.
Must, MUST get a good night tonight as off on another trip out tomorrow, hope weather is warmer than today though as been freezing all afternoon.
    Keep the faith all :A:A:A:A

Hope all goes well with the long term ECG x

WOW!!!! Super duper, if its working then keep doing it, I can't as it would be a nightmare to guess calories, also some recipes use HEA or HEB so wouldn't be accurate anyway. But thats super, well done on losing 2 stone!!!!!!:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T

So my EE plan today is pretty much a repeat of yesterday, due to DH being backshift & me making too much food

    B - Banana, toffee muller, benefit bar (1/2 b)
    L - SW Quiche (a), salad, (1) pineapple, strawberry
    D - Chicken,veg & rice stir fry, extra veg
    S - Options (2), benefit bar (1/2 b)
Syns - 2 for milk in coffee
    Total Syns - 5
Trying to keep syns low for wine tomorrow, was feeling peckish last night but had my hot choc & was fine :D.

Yes it takes a bit of time to get used to it but I weighed and calculated everything that I eat on a regular basis and I've put it into the database so I can just pick from the list each time. I can plan easily and chop and change if I need to. It also helps keep me on track with drinking water too which I was very bad about before and I'm sure that's helped with the weight loss this week.

WI for me yesterday only 0.5lb this week - no idea why as had had a good week. Was really hoping for more. Still at least it was a loss.

Still need to lose 5.5lb to get back into target. Was hoping to do this before I go on holiday early June but not gonna happen if I only lose 0.5lb at a time.

Think I'll try and up my fluid intake a bit this week and see if that helps.
