Wow MM that's fantastic :T
And so say all of us!!:D:T
You'll now need one of these.;)
You can't believe how happy I am for you. You seem to have taken to this rethink like a duck to water and your determination is amazing! Hopefully this will the boost you needed to get yourself back into a downward spiral!:rotfl:0 -
Thank you Maman - you are one of my greatest inspirations here, but I'm grateful to every one of my cyber friends here on MSEMediterranean Mum
hoping to lose 50lb by February 2013! 2st lost so far :j0 -
WI for me yesterday only 0.5lb this week - no idea why as had had a good week. Was really hoping for more. Still at least it was a loss.
Still need to lose 5.5lb to get back into target. Was hoping to do this before I go on holiday early June but not gonna happen if I only lose 0.5lb at a time.
Think I'll try and up my fluid intake a bit this week and see if that helps.
Denise
I was the same this week and disappointed with just 0.5 but sukey cheered me up. It's like that last push before you get to target in the first place. I've decided I'm not just doing a plan but also a diary of everything that passes my lips.
Had beans on toast for breakfast. Probably fruit for lunch (I shall be out and on the move). It'll be smoked haddock, new potatoes and some veg tonight. Not decided what as I need to shop.
monkee, to answer your question, I'd say it's perfectly doable to shop for £25 per person or less. It might take a bit of shopping around and I think you need some money up front so you can take advantage of bargains for the freezer and store cupboard but I find it perfectly easy. What I mean about the 'money up front' is it would be harder if you went out with £25 each week and tried to get a week's meals as you'd have to buy herbs, larger packs of meat/fish/veg etc. than you need and it would cost more. But once you've got 'stock' in then you'll do it easily. For example, my meal tonight could be haddock from the freezer (bag with 4/5 portions), new potatoes (left from bag opened last week) and veg could be tomatoes, mushrooms (again LO from last week) and peas from freezer. If I went out and bought all the bags and packs today it wouldn't come in on price but spread over weeks it does easily. Sorry for convoluted explanation.HTH!

Hi all,
Really busy day in work so just a quick hello. Massive well done to you MM - have to second Maman in saying it's great how you've worked out what you need to do and changed things accordingly, not many people embrace change so readily. Well done to the other losers too
Hope things improve for your OH TIE.
EE for me today:
B: Berries, yogurt, 1 weetabix (half, milk (A), syrup (3)
L: Quorn stir fry and egg fried rice, plum
T: Thai chicken curry (1) and rice
S: Apple, sugar free jelly (0.5), hifi light (half, Spiral (6)
Knee still twingy and back is playing up after shifting ridiculously heavy sofas yesterday (even though I didn't do much of the lifting- what's the point of having an OH and big brothers otherwise?!) so not going to shred tonight but Monkee has inspired me to get my Wii Fit board out again and have a go at something on that. Hopefully get a bike ride in tomorrow morning as well, weather permitting.

I can plan easily and chop and change if I need to. It also helps keep me on track with drinking water too which I was very bad about before and I'm sure that's helped with the weight loss this week.
I have some HM recipes in it already from when I started using it before SW, guess I could put some of the SW ones in but if I use the A or B, just omit them & it will omit the calories, I am now on my 3rd LARGE glass of water, if you lost 4.5lbs this week, does that not take you over the 2st? I was sure your siggy previously said 25.5lb?
Funnily enough, thinking back I have noticed since I stopped drinking my green tea & taking my laxido (DS calls it my jobbie drink :rotfl:) thats when I kind of hit the brick wall, even though I measure out my 200ml milk & syn it for coffee in work, the men in work know to use it from my beaker and NOT out the carton so when its gone, its gone:rotfl:. Perhaps need to get back on the green tea again & call docs to get more prescription.

I count it all Macpep - even the healthy extras but if you want you could leave them out. I've also been counting veggies which again I suppose you could leave out and probably as I go along I'll be less meticulous about it and just not put the veggies in. But I think things like baked beans etc should be counted because they are calorific. I suppose it's finding a happy medium and working with it.
Had I not put back last week the pound and a half that I'd lost the previous week () then yes I would have been over the 2 stone mark - now I'm right on itMediterranean Mum

Thanks Macpep but not to take away from Lantanna I think she also had a great loss this week (even more than me) but I really appreciate the sentiment :AMediterranean Mum

Now the weight keeps creeping up and even though I'm still below target I liked the feeling so much I want to be there again. Where as I should just be happy I'm at target shouldn't I?
Also scales say one thing but clothes say another, had to put another hole in my belt today as it was so loose.
Hope your hubby is feeling better soon TIE and the ECG comes back fine.
It is so strange isn't it - we spend months (sometime years) getting to target and when we eventually get there we are still not happy . Maybe it is just something that is programmed in to us that we should always be slimmer that whatever we are - even when that is a perfectly healthy weight for our height etc.
Good news about the belt though :T
Congratulations to all those who have lost this week especially Lantanna and Medmum  and hugs to all those that need them.
Maman, glad to hear I cheered you up - it just goes to show there are always people on this lovely friendly forum to help each other out. Good luck with the plan and diary for the following week - I think I will join you to try and knock of those pesky couple of pounds
Have a great weekend everyone.0
