    Evening all,

Sorry I've not posted much this week, it's all been a bit hectic! We have a new bathroom being fitted so the house is a bit upside down and we've been doing a lot of work in the garden over the last 6 days.

Had my weigh in tonight and lost 2lbs, which gets me to my 1stone! Also won slimmer of the week, so really pleased!

Beanie - put the Oreos behind you and start afresh tomorrow, you can do this!

Hope everyone is having a good week

    Mel x

Ok no car again. So more walking. This time took the cycle path to strikes (15 min) then walked along main road, not up cycle path. This saved 10mins & my total walk time from home to bus station was 35mins.
I don't know what's up today, but it is really hurting my legs. Not a stitch hurt, pure pain hurt. Which is not good as I prob have another 90mins walking today & that's with me getting a lift home. Without that I could've added another 45mins on top of the 90!
Do I feel revitalized, invigorated, energetic? No.
Have I lost any weight? Seems not.
Will I keep up the walking thing when I get car back? Probably but not do the work thing as costs nearly a fiver 1 way!!

    Menu:
    B - chose sleep :)
    L - yog & salad ff dressing
    T - steak & salad FF dressing
    Snacks - 2 x apples, celery, 1 x hot choc (2 syns)

I think I have come to a decision regarding the excessive fruit consumtion. I'm cutting back. As of tomorrow.

I am a little bit worried as I'm already in the binge/starve frame of mind about it. I decided on the way home from work to gat a huge bunch of grapes, and pineapple as one last hurrah before sticking to an apple and a banana a day. So I've eaten them, and just then I nearly, very nearly...

... ate a tea cake and butter, which would have meant another, and then the last two, and then I'd have gone for the swiss roll in the cake tin that needs eating up, then a scone or two, some toast, some bread while I'm waiting for the toast to cook, two pieces of toast that are warm, then two that are cold, the last malteesers, minstrals and revels in the drawer, possibly a cream crunch biscuit. I may well stop at this point, feel sick, feel guilty, and then have some more as I've blown it now so what's the point.

Having said all that, I haven't yet had the teacake, so it may not happen, but this is how I feel when I know I'm cutting back :o but I know I do have to cut back on the fruit as my trousers are really tight and I'm doing nothing else wrong :(

So, as of tomorrow, I'll stick to the plan, and cut out too much fruit, and I'll stick to it for as long as The Apprentice series is on, which coincidently is 12 weeks, which takes me right up to when we break up for the Summer Hoildays :D

and if my trousers are still tight then, well, then they'll be trouble

Would you like to join in on the experiment MedMum and Lantanna as you're having the same probs as me?

Frogga, why on earth have you got all that stuff in your house??????? GET RID OF IN - GIVE IT AWAY FOR GOODNESS SAKE
Honestly if this is a real problem for you and you're tempted by it then don't buy it and don't keep it. And don't give me the excuse that it's for the kids - they don't need it either or they'll end up having the same weight issues as we do!!!!! Sorry if I'm being harsh here but be kind to yourself. Our problem is that we're always thinking about what others need - they won't die because they haven't got chocolate in the house!!!!!

As for the fruit, fruit isn't really my issue but I can see from logging it that it's extremely high in sugar. I only had one piece yesterday and I was able to keep my sugars exactly on track. I have some mixed berries for today so no banana which is very high.

I have eaten most of a very very large packet of Oreo's.
Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Beanielou put it behind you - it's done, you can't undo it so move on. Don't punish yourself and don't miss out a meal to compensate. We all do it and we all (well most of us) get through it and move on and you can do it too xxx

I had a much better day with the logging of my food and exercise. Because I did 40 mins of exercise I was awarded another 285 calories for the day but I actually came nowhere near it. They suggested that I eat 1900 calories (plus the 285 extra) but yesterday's total was 1500.

I ate really according to SW so it looks like I'm ok but I'm going to continue logging it everyday and see how it works out over the week - WI on Friday will be interesting.

Got the doc this morning so we'll see what he says about it all...

    Hi MEDMUM,

I know exactly what you mean but It's in the house because I share the home with Mr Frog and two grown up tadpoles. They have bits and bobs of stuff like that for their packed lunch etc and I just fon't think it's fair to ban any foods just because I can't control myself :o

Nobody else in the house has an eating problem, and people often say "just don't buy it" but that's not fair on anyone else surely? The reason the swiss roll is still there is because they have a little skinny slice every once in a while for pudding after tea. The chocolate is left over from Easter, there is one tin of biscuits in case someone fancies it etc.

Sometimes the other 3 will have a treat, and then stop. Unlike pig face here :( I'm not punishing them because of my weakness :D

Aren't they interested in you becoming a healthier frog? Interested in helping you reach your goals?

Why is it anymore fair for them to have the stuff in the house than for you NOT to have it in the house? Is it more their home than yours?

Sorry just playing devil's advocate here and believe me I've heard and made the same excuses from me and mine. Let them hide it in their rooms if they must have it, or take it to work and leave it there but let's be honest, if you had an addiction to drink or drugs would they leave the stuff lying around for you to find and therefore make your problem worse? No, they'd want to help you.

We have to realise that food addiction is no different to any other addiction and we need to ask for help in the same way as anyone else does - it's nothing to be ashamed of and if they love you they'll want to help you and they'll find a solution.

Sorry, I'm in a hard-hitting mood this morning - think it must be gearing myself up for the doc appointment :D

DO NOT say sorry, I love a good discussion :j

They are all very healthy, they eat all the good things, and the naughties. They just eat in moderation. To be fair, they are all really supportive, and it's me that won't ban food, I just don't think that's the way to go?

I don't buy anything that I really like, I buy swiss roll etc because I could take it or leave it normally, just if I'm in the m,ood to binge, well, I'd eat sugar straight out of the bowl!

If I was an ex smoker I wouldn't expect to say to Mr Frog he couldn't smoke anymore? It's my problem, not any of theirs, and I just don't think it's right to say because I may fall off the wagon, they can't have nice things around if they are able to control themselves. It's almost like treating me like a child that can't be trusted?

They are 3 smashing people, I wouldn't want you to think they weren't, and they eat their yummies sometimes and say "oh that was horrible" just for my benefit

Will be interested to hear what doc says this moring

Hopping off to work now, have a good day ....

It was eating pasta, fish and chips and curry and rice that made me somewhat less slender than my trousers wanted me to be.

So I'm sceptical of a diet that lets me eat more of it.

This may not be the matter with all others:money:
