I did a sort of DIY pudding last summer when we had people round. A big bowl of raspberries and strawberries, some meringues, cream and Greek yogurt. Everyone could make their own pavlova or Eton mess to their own taste or just have fruit.

Great idea Maman - I'm going to pinch it next time I'm entertaining.

I can see that Tesco have a fat free Greek style yogurt listed so might be worth a look Blodwen. I did a sort of DIY pudding last summer when we had people round. A big bowl of raspberries and strawberries, some meringues, cream and Greek yogurt. Everyone could make their own pavlova or Eton mess to their own taste or just have fruit.

That sounds like a great idea, will have to get some meringue nests. Will tell my ma about the Tesco yogurt (although for a huge store her one never seems to have much choice!) as she doesn't have an Asda close to her- thanks :)

oh god but i love bannanas and grapes ... oh yeah and i lose on average 3.5 lb a week so to be fair your consultant should say that it could be an issue but not for everyone

I think a little more clarity all round from SW would help but IMO they deliberately don't have the type of discussion we have on here (I love this thread BTW:D) for various reasons. One is they like to create a sort of mystique so people keep paying for the 'magic' and also to keep a tight rein on their product they operate to a formula which consultants can't stray from.

I know there are people who whine that they don't lose and then when you talk to them it's obvious they're not following it properly but I also know there are people who do follow 100%and losses are very slow or almost non existent. Even SW recognises it to an extent with Success Express and Fast Forward.

I was like you rob. I followed the plan and lost. I had tweaks (like sloppy measuring) I could have tightened up on but it was never needed. So, although we're all following the same plan, different 'tweaks' work for different people.

I'm definitley continuing with my tweaks lol

Mediteranean Mum - don't despair look how well you have done so far - I'm sure a few changes will get the losses coming in again.................

I have the Tesco fat free in the fridge and must look into the meringue nests as that would be a yummy sweet treat !!

Great to hear from you Stef, how typical of you to pop out once you could see the dilema  you're a good egg.

I'm a bit concerned too now I've read the portions of fruit recommended. I ate a HUGE bunch of red grapes on the was home from work on friday, 2 punnets of pinapple, and raspberries, and blueberries! I eat them like sweets! My sugar intake would be massive.

But I don't want to cut down :o I like stuffing with fruit, surely you can't get fat from eating too much fruit? Loads of peeps on SW eat unlimited fruit don't they?

    Hmmmmmmm

I eat shed loads of fruit every day ... more than you, I think. I'm going on the basis of 'it may be a lot of natural sugars, but at least if I eat say 4 apples in a day it is still LESS calories than if I had eaten 4 cakes' etc

    :D

    Hi All

I have been awol the last few days, have been on plan with only yesterday not following it (was a bank holiday after all) however, I started off ok, had melon for breakfast & I made up my SW lunch to take to the beach but then I had a chocolate muffin & a curry for dinner.

I am not getting involved in the debate as to how SW works, I think if you look into it too much, you end up tying yourself in knots, I just know that when I follow it, I lose, thats all I need to know :D. My poor DD has chicken pox, praying we don't get it, none of us have ever had it & at my age I have heard it can be painful.

I am a little short on supplies due to being stuck in house with DD so not a great menu today

    EE -
B - Melon, SW quiche (a) (actually thought this was fritatta when I took it out the freezer this morning) :rotfl:
L - Dyno Rod Soup, Melon, strawberries
D - Spicy mince, rice, cauliflower, broccoli
    S - Toffee muller, banana
    HEB - 2 x benefit bars
:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Frogga, it seems to me from what you've said about how often you eat and eating something like 'fruit as sweets' that whilst you've massively changed what you eat, you may not have changed your eating habits as much? Are you really hungry between meals or do you feel like you always need to be nibbling on something, maybe just as something to do? Maybe that is something to consider if you're worried about your fruit/sugar intake, and maybe plan times to have a snack in between meals and do something else to occupy yourself at the other times that won't allow grazing. I may be completely off track here but it's just something that has struck me from what you've posted. You've done so well and you WILL be able to get more off if you want to, sometimes we all need a bit of a shake up and to see things with new eyes :)

You are totally right! I so do have dreadful eating habits. I think about food ALL the time, I wake thinking about it, think about it all day, dream about it! I need to get a hobby :o Even after my dinner, I'm thinking about breakfast! I keep saying it, I'm a very greedy pig/frog :D

Am starting today, cutting down on the fruit. I'm so bloated my trousers are REALLY tight, but I've been sticking to SW for WEEKS, so , it's official, too much fruit is making me chubby, got to cut back :D

Hope your DD recovers quickly Macpep and the rest of you avoid the dreaded pox.

Good for you Frogga - you can do it!

Just stumbled across this recipe for cauliflower pizza - I have tried something similar before when attempting a low carb diet but it never turned out that well. This, however, sounds great - may change my tea plans and have pizza instead if they have caulis in Aldi... :D
