Went to my parent's-in-laws Golden wedding last night.
Was at work in the morning, had:
B: Tin toms and beans
L: Pineapple, grapes, melon and SW veg soup (leek/potato/swede)
Then came the party after!
T: Pulled pork in wholemeal bun (which I'd brought with me as healthy). Cous cous (prob some syns in there as flavoured) hard boiled eggs, salad (rocket, watercress, spring onions and toms, no dressing, I'd made it and brought it myself).
Piece of homemade pavalova with raspberries and strawberries on, not too worried about the meringue but it had cream in it. No idea how to calculate the syns for that!!
I drank no alcohol as to me it's a waste of syns....and it would lead to consuming many more in food. I also resisted banofee pie, key lime pie, cake etc... quite pleased with myself and will go easy on the syns today!0 -

How embarrassing
:rotfl:thanks Nessie, glad everything's fine with you and yours.Breast_Cancer_Survivor wrote: »I'm starting to think i'll never be able to do this while he's here as his mood swings & name calling upset me so much that I lose all control.
Do try not to think like that bcs. I'd try to stick to plan just to spite him! You're going to come out of this feeling great: great because you're slimmer and healthier but also because you're proud of what you've achieved. 'nil carborundum illegitimi'
I was out to supper unexpectedly last night: stood in at a charity do where (sick) friend had pre-ordered food. Very simple stuff but very SW friendly (prawn cocktail, chicken wrapped in bacon with new pots and loads of carrots and broccoli, cheesecake). So there was mayo with the prawns and I had a tiny bite of cheesecake as I'm not a fan. Roast beef with all the trimmings here today. I can afford a small Yorkshire and spoon of horseradish (wouldn't have had that before target) but other than gravy it'll be loads of yummy free and SF stuff. Can't wait!
Cold, grey and miserable her but no snow. Have a good day all.:)0 -
:jHi All
Nessie - love the bean pic
Just about to polish off my favourite brunch - you gotta try it
Oven 180-200
Line casserole dish with bacon (fat removed) and cook 10mins. Add some chopped baby toms (or big toms) and mushrooms if to your taste - cook 5 mins.
Crack a few eggs on top , sprinkle a little cheese and season . Bake another 5 mins or until eggs cooked through. Amazing with toast and would say it would be good with chips. Something is required to mop the juices up from the casserole dish
Todays menu
Brunch - amazing egg bacon as above with toast HEB
L - fruit and yog through the day
D - HM Egg fried rice, garlic chicken and spicy cucumber salad - all as per Goks cook book,. Can't wait!!!!! :j
Another meal plan done for the week including - Quorn lasagne and chips, courgette pasta bake, garlic spuds, HM kievs and veg, Spag bol and chinese booked in for next saturday. All my main dishes are burtsting with veg and i usually try and add some extra on the side.
Banjo - keep eating more and the weight will come off. It's no mystery - we keep telling you! put your heart and soul into it and eat as per the plan (dont go hungry ) for a week - PLEASE!!!!:D
Stef, glad to see you're doing well at last, if anyone deserves it you do!
Sharalee - big hug missus
Dizzy - really lovely to see you back
Has TIE been around?
Hugs and hellos to those i've missed. Im always reading during my lunch breaks at work so know all you lot more than you know me. I'm still chugging along at target.
Have recently discovered crackers as HEB - with well seasoned quark and cheese, or egg and onion may it's really tasty
Im not very well right now with TMJ bout and bad swollen glands, so being in work doped up to the eyeballs (and i mean doped up to the eyeballs) and staying on plan sets my challenge for me this weekA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I'm still here just been in lurk mode as finding work really tiring recently so it's home and crashing out most nights. And as its Birthday weekend I'm now another year older and feeling my age :rotfl:.
Wi this week with .5lb off, wanted more as a buffer for this weekends cake/Chinese fest but hey ho a loss is a loss.
Congratulations on the 'bean' Nessie and well done to all losers. Big hugs to those in need and a special cyber cuddle to Banjo :AIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi all - 2.25 lb off this week so really pleased so far - feel I'm eating much healthier than when I was calorie counting. Also my BMI has moved from the Obese range into the Overweight range - Yey!!
Has anyone got a Syn free recipe for Mushroom Soup? Could I use FF yoghurt to cream it up a bit?Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.0 -

Hi TIE
Depends on brand of crumpets. They range from 3.5 each for co-op, asda smartprice, Waitrose essential to 8.5 for Asda Chosen By You ( which seem to be twice the size)0 -
