Has anyone got any advice?
Welcome backIf you're planning to keep going to the new class I'd ask the new consultant to see if she can sort it out- maybe she can contact the old one to let her know and also sort out the money issue. After all, it's in her interest for you to go to her class!
good luck for that next shiny Blodwen!
Thank youForgot to say that all of my jeans are a little loser this week, which is promising. * week has just arrived though so hoping that doesn't hinder my efforts to get that next shiny! :rotfl:

Weight loss - Apr '12 -Sept '13: 95lb0 -
Good afternoon, welcome to the new faces & I hope everyone is well.
8th weight in today & i've lost 1 lb 2 oz's, it is slowly coming off
& that makes 12 lb 2 oz's in the 8 weeks (nearly a stone).
People are commenting on the fact you can see i've lost weight & as i've already mentioned i've dropped at least one dress size (maybe 2:o) & can now fit into my jeans. :j
Good luck to those getting weighed today. :AI'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

looser jeans always good, have ditched my baggy ones now.. and can now fit comfortably into the smaller ones I've not worn for years
well done BCS, I've lost 2 st and not one person (other than close family that know i'm dieting) has commented or asked if I've lost weight!0 -
Nessie, I was reading in today's paper that Waitie Katie was wearing the same green coat for St Patrick's day that she wore last year. Can you still wear your normal clothes?
Good advice about FF. I know it exists but I would only try it as a very last resort. For me, it's mainly on account of idleness as I CBA to do all that measuring.
I am wearing the same clothes - but due to me liking to hide my belly alot i do have alot of floaty tops - but they are starting to get VERY tight in the boobie region
As for trousers - i brought a bump band thing cos i can't button up my work trousers
FF is definately not for someone who isn't in the right mind! Socialising completely goes out of the window - even work used to ask what was up when i was drinking my coffee black (how i savoured my first milky coffee when i went back to 'normal'!)0 -
Here is hoping Blodwen.
I am expecting a gain this week.
Not sure how much though.
I have got some info from my neuroligist today which is hopefully good.
Welcome Dulcie
Hope that your first day is going ok dizzy.

miss_independent wrote: »Hi all I haven't been on here for a little while. I've been a little disappointed as I have only lost 4lbs in 3 weeks but by mum has lost 8lbs so thats good. I'm hoping to have 3lbs off this week as I'm desperate for my half stone award.
Anyway, the first week we went we had a different group leader as ours was on holiday, and we bought our 12 week countdowns. We made them aware that we are shift workers. The next week we had the official group leader and she was not very good - there was pretty much a mass exodus before the meeting as people left straight after weigh in. She seemed like she didn't really want to be there, and was making people who had maintained or gained feel bad. Also it was difficult to hear as people were talking amongst themselves and she didn't seem to bother. There was a very negative vibe to the meeting. The following week (WI 2) it was the same and we both commented to each other that there was little point in staying - we just found it depressing.
The next week we couldn't make the meeting and I txt and explained that due to our shifts we couldn't make a Monday meeting last week but we would go to a meeting later in the week. She text back fine see you next week. When Mum and I got to the meeting later in the week (with a different consultant) we had been charged for the Monday meeting and then were also charged for the meeting the same week. The leader of this group was like chalk and cheese - she was so welcoming and helpful and everyone at meeting got a right laugh - her meeting was choca bloc! She does lots of classes so we have more chance of making hers (though they are farther away - its worth it). ETA this SW consultant also helped me understand that my health problems are contributing to a slower weightloss but encouraged me to change my mental attitude and see that every 1lb loss is a victory.
I text our existing leader saying that as I'm now having to work evenings and nights for at least 6 weeks, I can't make her meeting and I drive Mum so we will have to change. She hasn't got back to me and I'm worried she is going to charge me again. I was very nice and apologetic but other members have previously commented that she doesn't always reply. Hiyas to be totally honest if your a shift worker they shouldnt have sold you the countdown in the first place as they can only extend countdown dates for holidays etc as its from and to a set date even sicknesses are not taking into account, I do the weighing in our group and anyone buying a countdown is given this advice so I would definetely ask the new consultant and it doesnt matter where and whos group you purchased the countdown in as long as youve got that card you can go to anyones group until the countdown is used up so if you are shiftworkers id try n swap and change between groups not to lose any weeks weighing, bit naughty that whoever sold you the countdown, when youve finished the countdown just tell whoever is taking the money in class and they can log you as shift worker and you wont need to pay as long as you let them know week before or text consultant etc, dont let this put you off slimming world tho lovely they are not all like this once youve found a fab consultant it can change your life good luck xx#170 Pay off debts by xmas 2013 £1484 B/card-Done.
