Well in response to my moan (see post above) I have just written a shopping list, I am going to Aldi and going to make something in my slow cooker.

I feel a bit better that I have a purpose and something to focus on...as well as ironing later !

    Hi all,

Another busy morning so forgive me for posting and running - will be back this afternoon.

Lush - hope the party goes well, sounds like a great way of meeting people. Ceecee - sorry to hear you're feeling down. If you spend a lot of time alone have you thought of doing something like that to socialise a bit more? I know when I lived alone I sometimes just got bored with my own company, and my eating was all over the place then. Just a thought. Well done on your positivity though :)

EE today, and usual late tea:
    B: Porridge (B), milk (A), banana, maple syrup (2)
L: Spicy butternut squash soup, satsuma
    T: Spag bol, cheese (4)
    S: Pineapple, French Fries (4)

Have a good day all :)

    Hello all.

Nightowl - what facilities do you have in order to have food at work? Are you restricted by cold meals only such as the usual salads and sandwiches or do you have access to a microwave etc? Replies to this will vary the answers to your question.

CeeCee - Sometimes we all just get into the rut of boredom and comfort eating which will lead to irrational purchasing of junk. When i started SW i religously meal planned, online shopped and cooked like there was no tomorrow because i couldnt risk the temptation of the 'naughties' calling from the supermarket shelves. Now i still cook from scratch and only purchase what will be needed to prepare healthy meals but meal planning is now hit and miss because as much as i can fancy something when i draw up the plan on a sunday by the day its time to have it im wanting something else so have a juggle around with the ingredients i have in at the time - if i need anything else to top up then i will go into supermarket with blinkers on only walking down the aisles where i will find the items on the list and come straight out. Like others have said if you are finding the confines of four walls too restrictive and also calling you towards the biscuit tin then its time to get out and about = again for me this means a trip to pester my dad as i dont have a circle of friends beyond those whom i would talk to on FB, theres no one i would contemplate knocking on the door of and harassing.

Ragdoll - any input to the group is welcome.

BANJO hope your weigh in went well today, get your butt back on to here posting so we know you are ok please!

For me its weigh in tonight, im not overly fussed what the scales say today, i have been on plan all week, digesting the new info from the fat clinic so will see how things go. No meal plan yet as all im getting from hubby and son are shrugs of the shoulders when i ask what anyone fancies for tea.

For everyone else, hope you are all well.

Thanks to Blodwen and Stef...you are both right. I have enjoyed a few days of isolation and not being at work but boredom is setting in.

Just shows how much I need to go to work. I am working on getting a social life, been to some meet up groups and have friends who live miles away- just no-one nearby apart from the people at work.

Have just been to the local butcher (first time) and asked for lean stewing steak - he must have taken off every bit of fat that you could see. I have never seen anyone fillet off fat so expertly.
I asked how much fat was in his mince, got a funny look and he said none ! So I risked it.

Just having a brew with my egg on toast, bowl of fruit and yoghurt and then into the kitchen for the cooking frenzy !

See, having a good moan does me the world of good

    Thanks very much

that's maybe enough for one night, so I need more ideas for the next three!!

    Thanks in advance :)

:rotfl:Not sue if I was supposed to laugh:o if you eat all that you'll have no time to work!

I'd suggest you add pasta salads to your list as they're good and filling.

I heard that decribed as a 'group shrug' today helpful isn't it!

Thanks for the info from the fat clinic stef. It will be a faff measuring as that's one of the glories of SW there's very little measuring. I now you'd need more variety but, in theory, if you had your HEB plus a jacket at lunch and another jacket for supper then you'd be OK on the carbs even if on the lower end.

ceecee I'd have done exactly what you did to get me back on track which is make a meal plan and shop for it. Obviously, this week is hard as you've a lot of time on your hands and it's so easy to eat. I'd suggest finding something social to do in the evenings. I go to a dance class on a Monday evening and that seems to set the tone for the week sort of gets me back on track after any weekend excesses. It's not the exercise as such, just being away from food temptations. I have a quick, healthy supper before I go (usually stir-fry) and when I get back there's only enough time for a hot drink and bed.

Good to hear you sounding so confident and full of plans lush. new job, new shape all seem to be working for you. Apologies for being nosey but what is it with your bf and not trying new things? I'd have thought being so sporty he'd welcome the healthy food and you cooking it for him!

    Hi Everyone

Just popping in to say :hello: over last few weeks, SW has kind of taken a back seat , decorating has been a nightmare, when painter was painting walls, the paint was blowing up into a bubble so there was a lot of scraping back, re-plastering, sanding & re- painting. So you can imagine the dust & disorganisation so I have been eating out the freezer using up my stock but also takeaways when we were shattered from painting all day & not cooking in a dusty environment. I have also joined the cutting down alcohol thread to see if it helps keep me off the vino. I will hopefully get a meal plan done over the next day or so to keep me on track, so result is 1.5lb on over the last few weeks.

    Todays EE Plan

    B – ½ melon with berries
L – Jacket potato with Tuna Mayo & salad, Strawberries 1 syn for mayo
    D – Chicken, potatoes, broccoli
    A & B – Ryvita & LCL

I think I saw a few weeks ago someone had mentioned a meal planning tool they had that also worked out your shopping list.

Would someone be able to send me a link?

Well, I have waited 2 days extra before I got weighed and I haven't moved an ounce. So, from last November to now I have lost 3lb in total. THAT'S awful. Can anyone advise me please. I am desparate.

It was Macpep that has the meal planner - if you PM her I am sure she would be happy to send it to you.
