  • well work have decided where we are going for our night out for food. though im not exactly sure what to have off the menu:

    CRISPY CHILLI CHICKEN
On mixed salad with garlic mayo
    & sweet chilli sauce
FRESH OFF THE COAST FISH & CHIPS
Served with lemon wedge & tartar dipping sauce
    SLOW ROAST PORK FILLET
    With button mushrooms, white wine
    Whole grain mustard cream
    CHEFS HOMEMADE MEATBALLS
Tossed with spaghetti in spicy tomato sauce
    SLOW ROAST ½ DUCK
With roast peppers, red onion & hoi sin sauce
CHEFS OWN STEAK & ONION PIE
    topped with pastry
    SPAGHETTI
With wild mushrooms, peas & parmesan
    TEMPURA OF VEGETABLES
    With sweet sour red pepper
    & garlic aioli dipping pots

theres also the usual burgers and steaks but theyre served with onion rings, fried chicken etc...

im thinking that out of that list, the spaghetti looks like maybe the best bet but im not so sure....
I'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know

Is it a local chain you are going to or an established company that may have links on SW online for you to look up meals?
Spaghetti maybe the easy option but is it likely to bo covered in oils to make the mushrooms and parmesan stick?
Fish you could eat with out the batter and limit the amount of chips you ate. I like the sound of the duck though;) not in a SW sense it just sounds nice.

You could always do the flexi-syn thing and just enjoy a good night out within limits.

I dont have same meals every day. Breakfast is swapped about with porridge, omlettes or fry ups. Lunches are either something on toast if not had heb for breakfast, salads or soups, main meals are different every week working my way through the SW recipe catalogue lol. When i upped the syns to 15 a day i gained 3lb in a week. And your reply werent daft it is all things that have been tried over the last couple of months hence me now waiting for a referral to the weight loss dept attached to my gp to see if theres anything else stopping/slowing it.

I found that I leveled - stuck to plan and gained. Couldn't figure out why. Stopped counting everything, stopped paying attention to the finer syns and it dropped. I hope your gp referal scheme clears things up for you.

Scones are between 7-17 syns each when shop bought, As yours are homemade you would have to work out the syns of all components and divide by the amount made. Sugar free jam is half a syn per teaspoon. Standard double cream is 3.5syns per tablespoon, maybe less as yours is lower fat content but it doesnt mention that on syns online.
