I decided to batch cook as I often feel so exhausted after work that I can tend to just have something quick(but still SW). I know I will get fed up if I carry on like that so looked through my books and am mass cooking today. However, just realised that I am running out of room in my freezer! I am making speed soup just now. How long can they be kept without freezing it? If I am heating it each day- I am thinking 3 days anyway- but perhaps it can be longer? Its all veg after all. What do folks think?

if no room in my freezer I keep mine in of of those 'tupperware' type containers that sits in the fridge door.. don't reheat it all but just pour into one of these for warming it up in the micro each time I have some..

Hi - just found this thread :)

Been going to sw about a year and lost a stone :) doesn't sound much but I'm 5ft and have a small frame. My BP was high and I've been having joint problems. - which are now much improved :)
I was dead chuffed to get to target for my dds wedding at the beginning of December. But since I've lost the motivation of the wedding I'm finding it too tempting eating lots of treats - sticking to the sw recipes no problem but it's the inbetweenies!!!!

I'm finding the weeks I weigh in at meetings great and am putting my 'subs' in a pot for a summer treat when I'm within my 3 lb target range. Haven't been able to make it the last couple of weeks though and fully expect to have to pay this week - going to group certainly helps me though.

Back to basics with all things sw and mse for me this week ;)
    January spends - £587.58
  • I've never eaten breakfast, I just can't face food when I first get up plus I have to sort the kids out first anyway so tend to have brunch instead. :o

I think I will go see my gp as I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant & i'm wondering whether it has gone away. I read something that diabetics find it harder to lose weight. Plus all the years of being on various medications might of messed my metabolism up.

I'm thinking about seeing if I can get a gastric band if I can't lose it naturally as I want to have my surgery in the Summer as I want to get it all over & done with this year so I can move on with my life.

    Thanks. :A
I know what you mean about the meds, I am resigned to it taking a long time for my weight to shift. But perhaps the thing is not to panic. I've gone from one diet to another in the past without giving any of them real time. I'm not doing it this time. and I know i mean it. My life has to change.
You can't get things over and done with within months. You have probably been like me- taken years to gain the weight. So why would you expect to come off in months?? Don't compare any loss with anyone else.
I haven't had time I'm afraid to catch up with all the posts here but i have to be honest and say when I came on here a couple of weeks ago and read your posts about what you are eating- it seemed too little. (Sorry if I am mixing you up with someone else). Those of us who need to lose quite a bit have to change the way we have viewed food in the past. You might not be used to eating in the morning( and believe me I often wake up feeling sick due to medication and what I have so I can empathise with you). But you have to make an effort. You have been given suggestions here by the many great members of this thread- so see which ones you can manage more easily and get eating! It has to be a healthier and safer option than a gastric band.
I am not in a class as I felt that if I compared my small weekly losses with others it might make me depressed. I also don't weigh myself every week. I'd rather view my weight loss month on month. Don-t feel pressurised to lose x amount per week. You need to think positive and not concentrate upon the negative. I know that- I've been there and done that for too long.

Those systema mugs are great i got 4 of them recently in Morrisons as they were being sold for £2.62 each instead of £4.50 So as you can see there is a good price range on them already. They also sell out like hot cakes when the prices reach the £3 mark everytime they have been put on HUKD.

Had my soup in one today :p
