    I'm open to reasonable offers!

With regards to horse meat im quite shocked that theres no mention of goat on any part of the slimming world pages as it is much healthier than lamb being less fatty and so are many of the other meats available like ostrich and other exotics.

Rob if you want to give horse meat a go the mince is £3.53 for 500g at Kezie foods :D

My son is a little get for wanting to try exotics, ever since my brother in law started him on eating his steak blue and getting him to eat venison that he had in the freezer when we were on a visit. I know one of our local garden centres stock a very limited supply from Kezie foods but its the trek there to see what is available. In Novemeber he tried ostrich burgers.

    .
i have tried kangaroo, ostritch, crocodile , buffalo , horse (in france) etc rabbit and i love meat but ... blue steak no way it has to be dead and cremated before ill go near it lol

I need a good kick up the backside as I feel like I'm out of control (ironically a day after I posted about trying to have a very good week this week).

So weigh in was Wednesday and I decided to have a KFC that night before the start of the new week because I'd been craving one. That was fine and yesterday (day 1 of the new week) started off well. Then the evening happened. It's long and boring but my evening didn't pan out how I expected it to and I finally got round to preparing dinner at 9.30pm. By that point I was really hungry and started eating the left over KFC. As if that wasn't bad enough I then started on some chocolate.

Started today feeling a bit disappointed with myself but decided to draw a line under it and move on. I've been busy at work this morning so I didn't have time to eat breakfast (normally have something at my desk) so was feeling very hungry at lunchtime. I'm currently eating my soup so that's fine BUT I'm worried about this evening...

We have someone coming over for dinner this evening and I have something healthy planned. I'm pretty sure our guest is going to drink alcolohol which is fine but I don't want to because of the syns and I know I make bad choices food wise once I've had a drink. I can normally refuse alcohol whilst others are drinking but my resolve doesn't feel very strong today and I'm worried I'm going to completely lose control this evening.

Sorry that's been a big long waffle but I needed to get that off my chest.

Edited to say there is one positive here. I used the term "leftover KFC" in my post. I'm not sure I've ever said that before lol.

I like 30 day shred but it is quite full on if you are not used to exercise.
Some one asked about pilates dvd's and mine is the 10 minute one which I like.
I have asked for the new Davina one for my birthday which is supposed to be high intensity followed by rest in quick sections so I hope I keep that going.

Twas me who suggested it, :D let me know when you have it & we can set a start date, anyone else joining in? At the end of the 30 days, we could post what inches we have lost to see if it really works :D

how about getting yoruself a bottle of non alcoholic wine... lower syn value
but if you do have wine don't beat yourself up syns are there for those moments when you just really need x
like yesterdays leftover kfc and chocolate i bet if you look at the syn values they won't amount to a huge amount and then you have the rest of the week to burn it off stick to plan ..

Thanks for your kind words again, and for the helpful response re Equator. I must admit that " beer flavoured spring water" was what came to my mind when I saw the advert.

Last night, I realised when eating dinner, that it was the first time I had used a knife and fork for a meal since last Sunday. Yogurts, fruit and soup have been order of the day, every day :o

I have just finished making the mix for tonight's Indian fishcakes and its in the fridge chilling. So today looks like this:

    B. muller light vanilla yog over a bowl of summer fruits.
    L. Muller light vanilla yog over huge bowl of cherries.
    D. Homemade fishcakes ( cod, haddock, salmon, red chilli, red onion, crushed garlic, curry powder - all blended together with a beaten egg). With SW chips and green salad, white asparagus, served with FF yogurt and mint dip. Half a bottle of white wine to max syns!

Hex A the usual SS milk in coffees. Can't think of a hex B at the moment.:o

Although my 9lb loss over 4 weeks sounds okay. I have only lost 3.5 lbs in the last 3 weeks, which is uninspiring to me. I'm not going to blame my meds/disease otherwise I will never win. Others in the Group that are dropping 3 lbs+ per week talk of stopping eating a packet of biscuits a day. I've never been that keen on biscuits, cakes etc. I had a fairly healthy diet before SW, just a tad too much wine, and crisps and a beer at weekends.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

You could use your B to lightly toast brown bread, blitz into crumbs, dip fishcakes in egg use as breadcrumbsas a coating then fry in frylight? Thats what I do when having salmon fishcakes but add garlic & herb mash seasoning & lemon pepper to the crumbs nom nom.

I was the same as you, always had a relatively healthy diet but wine being my downfall, (not just at weekends though) became a habit after stressful days at work, was too easy to sit an chill with my wine, and I do somethimes miss my wine through the week, I know its doing me better in the long run and look forward to it at the weekend now, one bottle through the week when me & DH watch our programme together is all i have now, and its counted in my syns :D

I still think you should have more for your lunch Banjo I couldn't survive until 6pm with just what you have had for breakfast & lunch!

I agree, but thinking about what my wife is doing is one heck of an appetite suppressant :o
