Indeed squinky - there is always next week!

    FREEDOM FRIDAY UPDATE!

Well for me I am free-ing a top that I shortened from a dress that I got in a sale, but to be honest I think it might end up in the "throw" pile" Not sure about the shoulders, they are puff sleevy things which keep riding up on my broad yoke-rests...

Still, adds to the declutter and at least I know for sure now!! :rotfl:

Thanks for the number citizen. Yes my total is correct.

I will join in the Friday challenge when I am fitting into some smaller clothes as at the moment I wear everything in my wardrobe which fits lol.

Freedom Friday - I wore a navy and white spotted skirt I've worn once since I bought it in May which is in crepe and was lovely to wear. Wore my usual smartish teal jumper, grey patterned tights and black courts. 2 yrs ago I wore a pair of baggy trousers or jeans and baggy shirt with walking shoes pretty much all the time for work.

Of course next week there is another one, what shall we all wear then? Yes we can do this and free up those clothes! All our outfits sound great!

I just thought I should include fabric spend in my total, so I already need to declare a £20 spend.....:o

Got tempted by the half price sale in John Lewis and bought 3 metres, enough for a full skirted dress

I don't think that's very good only 5 days in! I haven't been tempted by the sales much though, which i would usually have hit quite hard. And I returned a pair of shoes I ordered before Christmas which was impressive for me!

Haven't managed to free anything yet, but that's dependant on losing weight for me.....have lost 7lbs though so hopefully it won't be too long!

  • Ooh can I join please? As a student I really need to spend less on clothes.. already un'liked' everything5pounds on facebook as thats my weakness. Aiming for a no spend Jan (bought two pairs of tights at £2 each in the H & M sale the other day with a Xmas voucher so not counting that:p)

Put me down for £200 cheers

Hi all, please count me in! I've never done a challenge before as I'm quite new to the site, but I NEED to do this! Spend way too much money on clothes & thus have £2k on my Next account

Please put me down for £150

This is just for me as I have 3 sons, so not sure how much I spend on them! Will be an interesting challenge for me, as I'm always buying bits & bobs!!! However, I can't actually think of a single thing I need & all my clothes are in pretty decent condition. Thanks for the challenge :)

Well I managed it - I didn't buy any new clothes in the sales when out yesterday with mum who bought me a lovely jacket in the sale and a pair of shoes in the sale to replace a pair of trousers that didn't fit and a shirt that didn't fit. Also stayed strong today with a friend and didn't buy anything while we discussed how we didn't need any new clothes and there was no point buying anything new.

Phew - made it through week one of the not buying any new clothes in Jan!
