  • Am I too late to join the challenge?? I tried last year but failed miserably as I lost around 2 stone and had to replace my entire wardrobe really. I have no excuse for spending now..I have PLENTY of clothes and a real bad habit of buying clothes because I now look so much better in them when I don't really need anything.

I have already been trying hard since january and have thought how I'm going to work this.

I'm going to make my budget £300 again but think that's a realistic amount for me now.
That will be for everything and anything I make selling on my clothes on e*ay or gift money I get will not be counted in this.

I am going to try and sell on all my "big" clothes, attempt to win some vouchers/spends/clothes in competitions , and do some sewing?reinventing!!.

What I really need this year are:
a new handbag. I want to buy an investment piece so this may take a fair wodge of my budget. This is something I don't have a lot of in my wardrobe and nothing "special".
Undies and tights..these seem to need replacing regularly.
A pair of sandals for the summer ( if we have one!!).

I am going to buy accessories to update my wardrobe and introduce new vigour in to my outfits.

I would like instead to be able to do some decorating of the house and have more holidays with my money.

So far January = £0 spends which is amazing as I've had to force myself to put things down in shops and so far been successful.

    Soo hello everyone. *waves*.

Is it too late for me to join? I'd like to budget £500 for clothes this year. I have a wardrobe that is bulging, so much so that the rail is bending :( I know it seems like a lot but compared to what I did spend this year just gone it's a much smaller budget and my challenge is to come in under the £500.

Initially I worked out I could do less but I may get a place on a course I've applied to which would mean needing 2-3 different suits (albeit they will be cheap ones if I do)

I've spent nothing yet on clothes either. Thought joining this may motivate me to come in under budget. Usually I'd have bought something by now so I'm quite proud of myself :)

  • I did this challenge last year but lost track a bit towards the end. I got given some money but think I spent more and probably went over budget in the end :o

I'd like to sign up for £250 this year. I'm going to need work trousers and, I suspect, work shoes. I'd like some new exercise trousers but don't really need them. everything else I should be okay for but think allowing myself the odd treat will stop me having a major blowout... at least that's the plan :rotfl:
