Not a penny spent (yet!). I haven't even been in a clothes shop, or looked online with more than mild interest.
Citizen Kitten, thank you for making me No 29 as I'm mcculloch29! (It's the number of a house I've lived in, not my age. I picked it so I wouldn't forget it, but wish I'd gone for something a bit more anonymous sometimes. Never mind.)
Underwear... I posted on the Hoarding thread (ahem) that I have 36 pairs of the same style of briefs - Primarni's seamless Sloggi-style briefs that are absolutely fantastic.
They never seem to wear out. How I got to 36 pairs was by popping a pack into my basket on each Primarni visit when my size was in stock, and sometimes buying two packs, "just in case". I woke up, eventually, when I couldn't fit any more into the drawer. Which is deep...
They are incredibly comfortable, wash like dishrags and never show wear. They aren't particularly glam, but I've done glam; severe arthritis now means I have to do practical.
Should anyone genuinely NEED practical underwear, at three pairs for £5.50 I recommend these fully.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Brr its snowing here today, a good excuse to dig out the jumpers and boots languishing in my wardrobe. Time for them to see the light of day again :-)Dont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing'0

I'm going to aim for £150 to cover essentials and new sandals for the summer.
I need to loose about 1 stone in weight and have loads of clothes that don't fit me at the moment :-( so these can be moved into my wardrobe once I have lost it...
I'm also trying to manage on just 30 items of clothing not including shoes, coats and accessories. I think that it will be OK and fairly easy to do, I've already sorted out my 30 and have more than a weeks worth of work and home clothes to see me through. Although I do seem to have a thing for dresses!

So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x0 -
Hi everyone - need to catch up on this thread - but for now I need to report my first spend - £15 on a warm hoodie which I needed for dog walking purposes in this cold weather. Will update my signature accordingly. Thanks xxSober October = 0 alcohol free days

Aww everyone seems to be doing well so far
In the spirit of a challenge then I think I'll reduce my total amount to £250; that's still a good £20 a month.
I noticed a couple of tiny holes in a couple of my basics/staples when I was ironing at the weekend though which is annoying. There is no shopping thrill in replacing leggings and tops & it is using up money that should be spend on pretty new things instead0 -
