Whoops....
Actually it's not too bad (but I did think that graph was rather funny) as most of what I spent in October is being / has been returned. I ordered 4 pairs of boots and 7 coats but I'm only keeping 1 pair of boots and no coats.
But did you hear that? 1 pair of boots! I'm keeping 1 pair of boots. The saga is over for now! I must have tried on 15 pairs this year already, I hate to think how many pairs I've tried on in the last few years. The day before they arrived I went for coffee with a friend and even she said "have you been boot shopping this year yet?". So I might have spent a rather disproportionate £104 (I got 20% off) of my £500 annual budget on boots but I am very happy :j
Oh and I also got a dress from Dotty P as I needed something smart casual to go out to dinner in London (and since I've put on weight nothing I already own really fits). It was £22 but there was 25% off so £16.50.
So assuming I return everything else I'm currently at £422.25 / £500.
It's getting dangerous now though - I can feel a blow out coming on. When in London I went shopping with my cousin, she's not short of a penny or two and spends it like it's going out of fashion! On Sunday when half of Bond Street was shut, in a couple of hours she spent over £3000. It was a lot of fun though! I usually feel like I'm being judged in those posh shops but she had sales persons fawning all over us. I was admiring a gorgeous little Prada bag and she keep going "it's you, it's definitely you!" :rotfl: oh, how a £1600 handbag is so definitely not me!0 -
No new clothes here however I have dyed 2 tops black (one was a sandy colour I had nothing to match with in my wardrobe and the other had a purple and white print which looked great last year but dated this year) and dyed a black and white top (had strange rusty orange stains on it from somewhere) red so it's now red and black (it looks fab and good as new) as I'm doing a dye yesting campaign for a word of mouth site.

Morning everyone:)
Sorry have been AWOl for such a long time - lots of reasons and no reasons for staying in touch if you get what i mean:o
Anyway I still have kept to this challenge although I have had some months of no spends since May I can't remember which ones but I do have spends to declare.
£19 - Dress(for colleagues wedding back in summer , but I am intending to wear it again at Christmas, reduced from £70)
£12.99 Charity shop- this included a checked shirt, T shirts, top and smart trousers.
So total for
NO4 - £54.67/£100
I think that maybe my last lot of charity spends may not have been added to front page so have checked through and the above is correct.
Also I have been passed a NXT Teal/Blue parka with hood from friends daughter - she only got it last year and its lovely!
The only thing I do need is some warm PJS and bed socks!
Think the last ones I bought myself were 4 years ago, did get some for Xmas a couple of years ago they are all looking tired and holey!.
I have been sleeping in a pair of leggings which I quiet like as the legs don't roll up in bed so might just look for a long sleeve top - I am using one of them at the moment but I want to wear it in the day so I need to find a replacement.
On another note I visited a vintage fair with my DD3 a few weeks back (bought a couple of Xmas presents for family, nothing for myself). had a fab time wandering round ( although some of the prices were a bit high, I did have a go at bartering which was fun!)
DD3 managed to pick up a new pair of Clarks leather brogues for £5 - now I don't personally like buying second hand shoes but these had no wear on them at all!
She also bought a huge "ski" jumper - it looked like it may have come from America/Canada and its pure wool - cost her £12 but to her its a one off,its not in the shops and it keeps her warm - plus loads of people have asked where they can buy one like it!
Oh what a happy smug bunny she is:rotfl:

Hello all.
Eltee12, I hope you get a lot of pleasure out of your very well - deserved new wardrobe. Retail therapy at its finest!
November - and until this morning I had only spent £57 of my £100 budget for the year.
However Se!ect have moved into new premises in our town and I was staggered by the selection of clothes that would suit me. (55, 5'9'', size 16/18, big boobs, chunky legs, tummy not too bad but room for improvement.) I cycle a lot as walking is difficult due to arthritis so tops must be longish or have a vest underneath.
Previously almost everything Se!ect sold was for tarty U25s looking for clothes to go clubbing in.
They will be knocking Bon Mar. and Peac*c*s out of the park now, those are the two main ladies' retailers locally, along with Mr T..
Loads of lovely longline tops, cardigans and jumpers. Great colours too.
I bought a longline shawl-collared jumper in mushroom, was tempted by a pair of cable knit leggings but then spotted a cute little black fur Cossack hat. I've got Slavic features, so these hats suit me more than most styles.
At the till, I expected to be charged £14 for the jumper but was charged £10 and the hat was a fiver.
So £72/£100. I realised earlier that I'd given a skirt to a friend that I bought for the princely sum of 99p in the X Catalogue shop so actually it's now £71/100. Happy bunny. Given that in 2011 I probably spent about £1500 and that mostly at discount retailers like X Cat., that's some improvement.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Wow Mcculloch - you're a changed woman! You certainly deserve that jumper and hat!Crazy clothes challenge 140/1800

Well I managed to resist temptation and avoided splashing out on a new frock for the works christmas do. I spent £6 on a new necklace and recycled an old little back dress and some gold heels.
New total £243.97/250 I might actually do this after all.
