    Hello all!

I've just realised I've not bought any clothes in ages! :)

    In fact, I've had a no-spend March :T

Hello all, hope you are well?

As they are kind of a gift Miss Empty Piggy I wouldn't personally declare them as a spend but I'm sure others may disagree. Lucky you though for having such a generous Mr Empty Piggy :) So I made it through March without buying any clothes, this was kind of on purpose as it was quite an expensive month for me in other areas and I had to repurchase make up and skin care so sadly despite being so good clothes wise I am no better off financially. I did actually have to buy some new kneehighs for work as I had laddered all but one pair of the rest of mine. I don’t think I am going to count these however as I got them of part of my food shop and their £2 cost then tipped me over the threshold to get £3 off my total shop so they were essentially free. Now April however, well that’s a different story. I blame the bank holiday. Normally I would be safely working on a Monday however this week I was off work and went shopping with a friend. Cue spending! 2 x Blouse Tops £6.50, Ballet Pumps £5, a new belt £1 (all Pr-m-rk) Loose knit cardigan £10 half price in B-nk and some cute tan boots £12 half price in Int-rn-c--n-le I am really pleased with what I got as they are all quite versatile and will carry me into spring nicely if we ever get the weather that is! March Total £0, April Total (so far!) £34.50

    Squinky #11: £76.50/£250

Thanks Squinky, I agree, If it was a gift card I wouldn't have counted it so I'm claiming a no spend March - that's no spends so far this year!!! I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to keep this up but it's definitely doable for the forseeable future. I am planning on dyeing all of my work clothes as they've lost their 'blackness' so need refreshing. I also need to have a good sort out this holidays so that i can exactly what shoes I've got so I don't buy anymore.

Update for No45: £0/£250 for me please xxxx

Oh dear... I fell off the face of the MSE world. :(

Have been merrily spending away, lots of food spends, meals out, gadding about and generally frittering... back to the old habits very quickly it seems!

And two polo shirts for £17 each. R4lph L4uren though, love the factory store at Gunwharf Quays!

Also bought 3 pairs of socks for £4.50 and five pairs of sensible knickers for £5.

    So £43.50 spent in March.

I was just thinking, I may have to revise the way I count regarding vouchers, basically if the voucher was earned (doing MSE things) then I have to count it in my clothing budget (because I'll have counted it already in my Earn £2013 challenge and I don't want to double count) but if the voucher was a gift then perhaps I shouldn't count it (because if they just bought me something I wouldn't count it). In my budget / spending diary I count everything though (all vouchers etc) so it could get confusing if I do it differently for this challenge. I think I'll crack on counting all vouchers for now but it could get reviewed.... (at the moment I've spent £10.81 from earned vouchers and £20 from gift vouchers but I'm about to spend a £30 gift voucher to get the trainers). Anyway, out loud musings - I know everyone does it differently!
    Evening All
I've got a query, I haven't spent anything on my budget yet but DOH bought me some new tops on Saturday for £50.00. Feel like I should count it as money has been spent on clothes for me, so think I would maybe be a fraud not declaring it. What do you think? x

I dont count vouchers given to me as a gift, nor do i count gifts because life has to have some freebies right? plus the jumping chappies are easier to get lol!

i had a NS March! WOOOP! challenge completed! plus I also mended 2 objects, 1 button on a cardigan and 1 diamonte on a belt! WHOOP!

    so 002 - £214.73/500 still.

I will be adding however my mending bill for 2 items I cannot fix myself to my clothes total, one is a pocket join to my jumpsuit and one is a belt loop on my very expensive trench coat.

I think this is fair~~? as really I should be mending myself??? what do you guys think?

    Well quite!

Lovely colours too, one apple green and one cobalt blue, must be "last year's colours" hence the price, but as a titian-tinted madam they look jolly nice, and I don't generally associate with people who worry about which colours r4lph l. deem to be "in season" :rotfl:

I'm totally with you on that one. DOH offered to buy me a Super-notwet jumper for £40.00 at the weekend but I declined and got 3 tops from nxet instead. I'm so glad I did, as I now have 3 tops instead of one. Plus I am VERY CLUMSY and spill stuff and ruin things easily. If they cost a lot I end up feeling like it owns me and I don't like that feeling. I do like designers, but I don't like their prices. Love it when you manage to get bargain designer. Then it really does feel like a bargain. :rotfl:

Sorry missed posting as on my hollies. Went shopping today just as a lazy treat day in tiny Portree. My DD did awfully well and got an amazing sweater, a granny chic cardie that matches her new T*pshop skirt, a tapestry bag and a scarf for a cracking £12. I on the other hand resisted temptation and didnt get anything ..till we went in a Batik shop and chose an amazing skirt that will get much wears in the summer. We said it will be a shared skirt so I'm only including the £16.50 I spent on my half the skirt!!! It was a real treat to be able to buy something from the shop at last as ive never had the money on previous visits.
