    There may be trouble ahead...

    *Stop singing*

I've got an urge to do a Freedom Friday tomorrow...

    And I feel a mini-challenge coming on...

Now is the time to get your suggestions in! I may be going for a Trouserless Week (oo-er missus! :rotfl:) and pledge to wear a skirt or a dress every day next week instead of my trusty (wearing out) black trousers that I wear ALL THE BLIMMIN' TIME!

I ought to say now that I work in a factory and therefore lovely green work trews will feature in my days, but the office-y stuff I also do will be conducted in a skirt.

Ideas chaps? Anybody willing to join me in a Trouserless Week?

I will wear a dress or a skirt tomorrow for Fab Friday.

Either a pink and black patterned dress or black pencil skirt with a pink top and a wide belt and clumpy court shoes!

    Trying hard to look fab!

I wear dresses and skirts almost everyday so won't be featuring in this challenge..it would have to be the other way round and trousers all week which really would be a challenge since I only own about 2 pairs:o

On a very bad note I was feeling really down this week and ended up going shopping on my own and have spent ALOT of my budget. I got lots of lovely stuff I will wear and have already worn lots but I didnt NEED it. Oh well it came to £115 so now 041 is at £214.60/£300

A very busy month for me, we have been having a really good sort out, needless to say it was an excuse to clear out even more stuff, so a few more bags of clothes to the charity shop , along with 16 *yes* 16 boxes of books. Thankfully I went into the local charity shop and the nice man said when I was ready he would send a van to collect it all. So I am having a good clear out of bedding, towels, kitchen stuff, curtains and some other bits too. I should make an effort to ebay some but the reality is it will sit in boxes whilst we continue decorating and wont get done this year....I know! and at least it will raise some money for a good cause.

Anyway pay sometime this week so no chance of me going anywhere near a shop so another Zero spend so that is 4 so far :)

Zero spend out of my zero budget! must admit I am glad its starting to get warmer, I looked at my socks last week and thought mmmm some of these are getting a bit shabby.... but thankfully we are into sandal weather now so boots can go away and no need of socks till much later in the year...I hope!

Well it's funny you should say that... I have been reviewing my skirt situation and this week does, in fact, look pretty challenging since my skirts and dresses are either a) super wintry, b) super summery, c) cocktail dresses, usually low cut, satin and frilly or d) denim and full of holes. Not very work-appropriate!

So I have solved the situation by spending nearly £70 on the n3xt website... :D

(Mr L paid me back £130 he owed me that I had sort of forgotten about, so whilst I'm counting this in my clothes challenge budget, it is a bit of a treat really!)

Will update my own total when it all arrives and I decide what I'm keeping (hopefully all of it, there are some great bargains in there if they suit...).

BUT, my point to you would be, you are still in budget, you said yourself the stuff is lovely and you have worn and will wear it - so you are meeting the requirements of this challenge! We are all here with different budgets and for different reasons, and if this challenge is making you think about what you buy and keep track of it, I'd call that a great success! :T :T :T

Quick note about the Trouserless Week Challenge I am continuing to embark upon!

I feel like chickening out and doing a Trouserless 3 days instead, 'cause my boss did comment on my outfit this morning! Nothing bad AT ALL and very kindly meant, it just highlighted to me how self-concious I can feel sometimes!

Hence the need I suppose for the Trouserless Week Challenge because I do like wearing skirts and dresses and looking a bit more feminine, even if it is unusual in this environment! I just need to get over the initial shock of it being different, then no-one would bat an eyelid! :rotfl:

    Debt-free and Proud!
:eek:Trouserless week????? I no longer own any skirts and only possess one rather dressy dress. You know, a few years back, my wardrobe was the complete opposite - all long, flowing skirts and no trousers/jeans. They hid all my bumps and tree trunk legs but nowadays I look really wide in skirts.

    Think I'll give this challenge a miss:rotfl:

    Yay!! :T

Thank you!! I thought it would be a nice challenge for me to break a habit, so glad you could join me for a couple of days! :D

Today I am sporting a primarni brown skirt which I finally got around to ironing yesterday, with a leopardy-print top (it is nicer - and more work-appropriate - than it sounds, honest :rotfl:), nude tights ( but spring is sprung after all) and my trusty black cardi.

It was rather pleasant doing my stack of ironing with my LOVELY steam iron Mr L bought me, in front of The Great British Sewing Bee and The Vicar of Dibley, cup of tea on hand! Exciting evenings for me eh? :A
