Just like other people I have decided to post on here due to the other thread being blocked, hopefully thats ok. Got rid of 10 books at the CS this afternoon and i will be tackling some paperwork later so that will be reduced and recycled or shredded, plus recycled 5 Christmas cataloges that where hiding in a corner. I will take the decorations down tomorrow so that will involve some decluttering:)Success means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

Hi everyone - are we on here now? The others are locked
Today I emptied 2 large plastic storage containers . About 100 items. They had clothes in. I haven't used them for a year so out they can goto to the weigh in, I did say I was being ruthless...
I then used the containers for Xmas decs. That saved buying new containers. Win win situationChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

I think it's my fault the two new threads are closed. I pm'd Pink and asked her if she could merge them, which she did, but it looks like it was then closed
. I have pm'd her to see if she can open it again, sorry everyone
:o:o
Anyway, back to decluttering. I have put all the decs away and the front room looks so bare now. It took way longer than I thought so no carpet washing today.
Xmas cards not being used as tags are in the recycling
Managed to throw some empty bauble packages away as they are now in my new bauble storage holder :j

I've been on the 'mums' board lurking for a while...but we're really more monthly budget challenge/decluttering/old schoolers so I'm here instead.
Our next little one is due in March, so we're in the middle of emptying our "spare" room of everything we didn't really need but for some mysterious reason held on to.
This was my Christmas break challenge as I'm a teacher, and it's almost done now. To the point where I can now paint the inside of the fitted wardrobe to match the rest of the room tomorrow! WIN!
We've emptied 2 chests of drawers, the fitted wardrobe and several big plastic tubs of random stuff. Lots was binned, taken to the local CS or just put in places where we'll actually use it! Doing this overhaul has led to the airing cupboard getting a good sort too...as lots of the bits and pieces in the fitted wardrobe in the spare room were pillows, spare duvets, the aerobed etc.
Tomorrow I'm clearing my clothes out as it's much easier to be ruthless now I'm only in maternity clothes! If I don't long to wear it again it's going to the CS!
Here's to a happy, healthy and clutter free 2014! xx0 -

a few broken toys de-clutted to the bin
I'm also on sorting through the clothes, we have a CS bag collection due on Monday... so I'm aiming to get as much stuff out as possible, so far one bag full :T.
I have a dismantled set of draws ready for the tip (they collapsed but have been failing to bit for 5 years) OH has used some of the wood to make us shelves in our built in cupboards in our room.. but the rest is unusable.. I may if I can get OH to take this to the skip, drop the clothes so far to the charity shop.. also ready for tip is a broken plastic toy box.

OK I thought I was being really dim, been forward and back on the 2014 threads
glad it wasn't just me! I'm presuming/hoping that someone will post the right link here when it's sorted
So my one item per day decluttering to date:
1: A skirt that I replaced in the sales (it was all bally)
2: A spotty dress that was unflattering
3: A navy polo neck that makes me feel sweaty
I also had a blast of clearing out on new years day and got rid of about 25 various kitchen items. I'm hoping to have short blasts each weekend
Good luck everyone!0 -

........ Good luck everyone!
I've been going round in circles for a while as one of the closed threads seems to link to itself ... oh dear!
Anyway, did the first CS run of the year with 21 items inc a small table and a yoga mat.
The Xmas cards are ready for recycling, along with the last year's birthday cards. All the decs are stowed neatly, ready for December 2014, and I've topped up the cards, wrapping paper and tags from the sales.
