Lovely to hear everyone else's progress, it's great when other people notice the difference.

    Plastic tray
    2 shoe polish
    Shoe brush
    Cloth
    Napkin ring
    Pan scrubber
    Pack of wool

146-148 3 paper light shades sold on Gumtree & collected last night.

Have a relatively quiet weekend ahead so going to use it to really try and get some more stuff out of the house.

  • This is a brilliant thread - why have I never stopped by before!?!

I'm going to join in if that's okay with you lovely guys n gals - I know I'm very late for the Nov challenge but I'm sure you'll all be continuing to declutter into Dec and well into 2014!!

My first bit of decluttering for the day has been:

10 magazines - gone to a new home to be re-read
    2 empty boxes - recycling
1 eye cream and 1 cleanser finally used from beauty stash!

    Onwards and upwards!
2015 - I am determined to lose at least 3 stone in weight and I must pay off at least one of my credit cards...If I keep telling myself, I might start believing it!!! :D

  • Welcome Gloomgurlie :)

Cannot seem to get motivated today, was going to make a start on the dining room and under the stairs, but its just not happening, instead I've sorted 4 vases full of junk, 4 folders of paperwork out of the dresser drawers.

    Out
1 carrier bag of paperwork waiting to be shredded
1 benidorm dvd, given to a friend
    1 photo frame
1 christmas recipe book, charity shop pile
1 old nintendo 64 game pad, charity shop pile
1 star wars origami book, charityshop pile
1 carrier bag of rubbish, binned

Think that will do for today, just not feeling it today x

That's a good effort Jacksmummy, sounds like you've got lots done.

Sorted through the children's book shelves, decluttered:

Bag of books for school fair
    Bag of books for charity
Partly done colouring books in recycling
    Magazines in recycling
    Leaflets
    Coat hooks
    Hoodie

    Also posted:
    2 fat quarters of fabric
Patchwork block (in birthday club with fellow patchworkers)

I've got 2 more patchwork blocks to do, cut out some of the pieces and addressed the envelopes so partway there on these. Been meaning to do these for ages, so it's a few less things to feel guilty for not finishing (will finish them tomorrow and post on Monday hopefully).
  • I've not been very good on the decluttering front today. In fact I've managed to gain items! One of these being some wine glasses - oh well! The rate we go through wine glasses with two dogs & very waggly tails, those glasses won't be round for too long!!!

  • After a day of, clearing out, cleaning and moving furniture I now have a dining room!
Its lovely to see my dresser with crockery displayed on it instead of piles of books, paperwork and picture frames! I can now see the top of my dining table, everything is in its place and looking lovely.
Also cleaned out the hallway cabinet and under the stairs which now houses all ds's toys, the porch has had a quick clean round too

    Out:
5 pairs of shoes .. charity box
2 pairs of old slippers .. bin
    1 rucksack.. Charity box
    3 ds's old caps... friend
1 big box of misc bric a brac... charity shop
a bag of childrens books... friend
    2 binliners full of rubbish
a cat bed... listed on a selling site on FB

That is the downstairs of the house totally decluttered and looking really good, the hard work starts tomorrow when I venture up the stairs
