You guys are getting me going now. I didn't think our house was too bad (although the sheds and loft are a nightmare)

Today I disposed of 6 old fashioned 100w lightbulbs which have been overheating, 3 bras, 5 old bottles of aromatherapy oils (so old they smelled weird), 2 pairs of flight socks and a jam jar I had washed and put in the drawer just in case.

I'm going to set myself a little target of 5 items per day from now on.

    I love this thread!

lol Hedge... I would of we were nearby. I love decluttering. After our house is done I am going to volunteer to help my Mum sort out her kitchen as I reckon she doesn't use half the stuff in it!

Back to work tomorrow so decluttering has to slow down.

I'm thinking my next task will be our clothes. Will be nice not to have to force clothes into our wardrobe. Also I only have a few areas to declutter in our bedroom and that room is done. So far the bathroom and kitchen are complete. Our dining room only has a dining table in it anyway so done! :)

    My plan....

    Finish our bedroom
    Finish the lounge
    Start DD1s bedroom
    Start DD2s room

Then I can move on to under the stairs, the loft and the garage! The biggies! The car is on my list which I will fit in when we get a nice day and hubby decides to clean it. Get it all done in one go!

Christmas decorations down today, so that's a decluttering thing in itself. Normally I keep Christmas cards for a few years, but this ime they are in recycling already, together with the last few years cards. Also took the opportunity to throw out some decorations which haven't been used for at least 15 years!

    So, recent declutterings are

    11 Two 2012calendars
    12 Novelties fromChristmas crackers
    13 Out of datebatteries
    14 Two keyrings
    15 Old Christmasdecorations
    16 Christmas cards2008 – 2012

Also got some boxes out of the loft to sift through. Not too many though, too much and the house will look cluttered!

Good day today. Went down to my storage unit and had a bonfire and got rid of loads of cardboard. Sorted and checked 40 large items which are now awaiting listing on Ebay. All my Christmas stock counted and put away. One bag of rubbish for the tip, and another bag for the charity shop. I now have empty shelves for the first time in ages :T

Then came home, took the tree down and put the decs back up the loft.

Only working two days next week, so hoping to make some headway at home next.

Really tired today so haven't done much, but ordered some boots online - thought I should get rid of something before they arrive! Have put three double (our bed is kingsize) fitted sheets into the washing machine to freshen up before giving them away - I'll offer them to Mum first, otherwise off to the charity shop or animal shelter they go.

I also have some double flat sheets, but will keep these as they are SO handy for moving house, dog use etc...is three too many to keep though?

Well no decluttering done yesterday as DH & I visited my SiL - who very kindly gave me her back issues of Red (groan) and my niece gave me about 1/2 doz books. Went shoe shopping today with my neighbour vwho's recently had ops on both feet & needed comfy shoes until the swelling goes down & I bought a pair of knickers. Somehow I dont think I've got this thread the right way round............:rotfl:
BUT - I read the magazines last night so I'll pass them on to my neighbour (hehe) I've bagged up some other books that I've read & they total more than the 'ins'. Tomorrow I'm going to look in Wilky's for a set of plastic drawers to fit in my wardrobe to take my socks, scarves etc which I PROMISE I will sort out & report back
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Just had to de-clutter my work shoes (not planned but split at the seam and letting in water). No use even for CS :(
