Going to tackle a kitchen work surface today. All that should be there is washing powder etc but there's so much there. I have some plastic storage boxes that I may use there to keep what should be there, there. And nothing else.
Anyone seen any fancy ways to store the boring stuff? Things like washing powder, fabric softener, dw tablets/salt/liquid etc?Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I hide all mine in the cupboard between washing machine and dishwasher, it's an odd corner cupboard so quite hard to store much else in there.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Got home and felt a lot better.
Did an hour of putting things away, general tidying. When OH got home he put all the recycling out in the garage, took 2 boxes of stuff for a charity sale to the theatre (both donated by other people and have been cluttering our hall/kitchen for a while).
Got a bit of sewing and a wall painted too and tonight some more bits with go to Brownies/Guides so stuff is definitely heading outwards.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Yorkielass - love your sig about decluttering. Hope your brownie bits declutter went well.
Mrsm - what a good idea to dig out the Xmas decs now and donate unwanted ones to charity. Too many times in the past I've done this after Xmas. Last year I sorted out some unloved decorations before xmas. In particular ones that don't match the rest eg size or colour. And if they weren't too shabby I attached them to tags/labels for pressies.
Back to the kitchen today. Going to dig out some small tupperwAre boxes for my friend which I don't use. I've used some of the larger Tupperware boxes (which don't have lids) and have used them to help stores things in the cupboards.
Also spotted a bag of picnic bits like glasses which I will sort through and donate unwanted bits to charity.
Hope everyone else's decluttering projects are going well :jDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Hi everyone, I've had that awful cold that is doing the rounds at the moment so have been doing the bare minimum re decluttering.
Took two sacks of assorted clothing to the Salvation Army clothes bank and took an assortment of bits and pieces to the local recycling centre. Mirrors, shelves, shower screen.
I managed to avoid going into the 'sales area' at the tip, this is good progress for me! I may do a car boot sale tomorrow too.
Keep up the good work everyone!A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Sorted through my hand bag and purse today. Several receipts shredded and some old leaflets recycled. Also, cleaned the vegetable/fruit storing box in the fridge and some mouldy fruit thrown away.
Planning to spend an hour in the garden tomorrow before the garden bin is being on Monday by the council. The weather forecast for tomorrow looks great. No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23

Did a quick sort through of the odd socks and finally threw away the blighters that have been around for a while!
Was a nice easy declutter.
I have decided to give the Car Boot a miss as could do with having a good nights sleep. I will endeavour to sort a few problem areas tomorrow.
Books, crafty stuff, baking tins and shoes are on the hit-list.:DA minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
