Gers - Lidl sell very strong black bags. They're 2.99 for 15/20 bags (cannot remember) but have a huge litre capacity. They have a yellow tie at the top. They sell other ones of different sizes and strengths but these ones are very strong. They are not particularly cheap but as they're so big I think they're worth it.
Fabulous - thanks. Will get them tomorrow. :j
Got the kitchen cupboard contents all out and on the worktops. And another two bin bags full and ready to go to the tip.
Now I have to decide whether to keep my collection of spices or just chuck. My thinking is chuck as I've had them all a very long time and haven't used them in years... so they'll be not so good to use. So, chuck it is!

Spent an hour or so in the garden yesterday generally tidying up. Filled up half the garden bin. Will do another hour in the garden today.
Used up a couple of toiletries during the week and read one magazine that will go to MIL for her to read. 3 hand outs covering Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be moved from here to work next week where they will actually be used.No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
I'm sorting out all my clothes today. Also need to sort through all the crockery and cutlery and kitchen utensil as we have duplicates of everything, having both been married before.:D
I've turfed out a few bags of magazines to the recycling. It's going to take an entire winter to get our house sorted out, bit by bit, to achieve a "clutter free" spring. I can only manage an hour or two at a time.:o
It'll keep my mind off the cold and dark anyhow.Felines are my favourite

Been to Lidls and got the black bags - many thanks. They are much more robust and will hold plenty more.

 we are a bit in chaos today
We decided to start clearing the dining room which is going to become the nursery and there is now stuff in all the rooms of the house that needs to be allocated to new homes.
Tell me, am I the only person who seems to have lots of boxes of random stuff? In one box I found things for covering radiator pipes, yarn, shower rings, a selection of cables and various other bits and pieces. Sigh.
I am going to look out a box and start filling it with charity shop things and I am going to list a few DIY related things on freecycle to try and clear some space.
Wish me luck!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Fridge/freezer - check
Some oldish suncream and aftersun ceremoniously slung in bin.
Three orchids I was nurturing - ditto.
Cleaning materials sorted and threw some - wash in starch anyone? I must have bought it in my vinatge house linens phase.
Cereal cupboard tidied and a stray weetabix thrown. I hope everyone loves porridge in this house as there is a lot to use.
Onwards and upwards everyone.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
