-List one item on ebay – recipe book
-answer ebay questions
-[STRIKE]empty old metal biscuit tins to recycling (I've been staring at these for two weeks wondering if I can find another use for them, I haven't come up with anything so they need to go.)[/STRIKE] Found a big plastic tub to go too.
-pay two bills
-[STRIKE]check when DH's car is due MOT[/STRIKE] – Not due until November, no idea why I thought it may be now
-[STRIKE]do some filing [/STRIKE]Dealt with the pile that I had in mind, although there is more for another day…
-make a start on sorting items for local NCT sale I can only do this one when the kids are in bed this evening as they won't let me get rid of anything
Off for a shower now to wake me up.0 -
i am sneaking back in the back door.....my house is a mess!!!
am eating breakfast and gonna try and get stuck in...0 -
On a mission today - sun's shining so here we go!
So far - rubbish bin in bedroom emptied, manky shower mat binned, 18 toilet rolls (Farmstores) unpacked & away. Bathroom shower cloth binned & new ones in place.
I also de-cluttered a pot of Damson jam that I found lurking, made in 2004 (well - it was still edible & I'm being MSE) its taken me about 3 months though 'cos I only eat jam now & again!
Right - off to see what else I can doSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Less stuff:more love to give
Deleted my junk mail on computer and some on the in box.
Declutterer the washing to machine, then on line.
Empty house bins
Thrown some (not so good) photos in fire grate ready for burning.
Have the ironing to do and put away. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Morning all, sun shining here, makes you feel cheery
.
Beds made, DW emptied and re-loaded, second load in WM, first in TD or on clothes horse, kids breakfasted (think I made that word up), dressed and sent to Auntie's for a couple of hours. Picking them up at 1pm. Taking MummyEm's lead and listing what I will do before then:
All laundry to be dried and put away (iron anything I have to);
Clean out guinea pigs;
At least one carrier bag worth of declutter.
Right, on with it then.

Had another go at the playroom. Decluttered:
Small bag of toys
Magazine
Books put back in my son's bedroom. Now started on moving everything out of my daughter's bedroom ready for the carpet fitter and decorator. Good job I cleared out the box room as there is now room for some of her things in there.
Few bits and pieces on the landing need sorting out too, as need this space for her furniture. Got a feeling they are things I wanted to keep but haven't found homes for, these are some of the trickiest items to deal with I think.
My to do list:
Sort out things from landing
Empty daughter's bedroom
Take her old bed apart and to the tip (big metal bed with desk under, she is too tall for it now)
Take old carpet up and to the tip
Take down and wash curtains
Remove stickers from windows (this is proving difficult, they don't peel off and leave bits and sticky stuff, will have a try at scraping them off with ice scraper I think, then maybe sugar soap?)
Then after carpet has been fitted and room decorated:
Move son's bed into daughter's room
Move everything back from box room and landing to daughter's room
Move bed from box room to son's room (has to be taken to pieces)
Rehang curtains and pictures
Yikes! At least it is a bit easier since I've already decluttered the bedrooms and box room. There is still some stuff in the box room but much less than before.0 -
OK...so some headway made...but i am exhausted and only have 1 hour left to do the rest lol!!!
1. DD's bedroom - bed stripped, changed, tidied, dusted/polished, hoovered
2. Our bedroom - as above
3. Laundry - all put away
4. two loads of washing done
5. Bathroom - cleaned top/bottom
6. DS room - bed changed, dust/polished, hoovered
7. Stairs - hoovered
8. About 20 rubbish magazine/mcdonald toys - binned
9. Bedroom/Bathroom bins emptied
Now...for downstairs...could murder a cuppa0 -

We ended up spending a big part of the day out in the garden enjoying some much needed sunshine and fresh air. I did get quite a bit done outsire while the kids played.
-Piled up some rubbish -hoping DH makes a tip run tomorrow as there's loads in the garage to to too.
-a spot of weeding (well almost a whole wheelie bin full!)
-cleared some pots and bits from the patio (patio will be coming up ready for the extension)

-boxed up old buggy as it's going out on loan to a friend
-cleaned up a kettle (ours leaks, my dad gave me this one about 5 months ago to replace it, but hadn't got around to cleaning it up)

There were other bits too, but I've lost track.
Right my cuppa is finished so I have no more excuses for not emptying the DW and tidying up the kitchen. Need to work out what to make for tea, wish me luck pls.0
