I have listed a 35 inch wide digital screen TV on Freegle - the heavy big sort of model. Three asked for it - all said no when I asked did they realise it was not the thin flat screen model - so what do I do with it now? I also have a broken video player - thought someone may want it for spares or project. We don't have a car - so how to get rid. Not easy to declutter.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Your local council should have a large items collection service. You might have to pay for this though, it depends on the individual council. If you look on their webpage, details should be there somewhere under Refuse / Recycling etc.0 -
Good luck to Doolallydilly
Today has been a most productive day. I've de-cluttered three drawers and have been investigating my husband's bedside cabinet.
He has the most ludicrous amount of paperwork in there, going back 20 years. I've pulled out the most obvious papers for shredding, but I will return to that cabinet in a few weeks to have another go at it. If something is badly cluttered, I find it helpful to do a couple of sweeps. Sometimes it's a bit much to do it all at once, and that was the case with that little cupboard!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Update on the 'GH'
1 more bag of shredded paper
1 carrier bag of old paint charts & leaflets on decorating
1 more book in the CS bag
Old Tablecloth - CS bag
4 M&S small wrapped soaps - CS Bag
I'm gradually getting my head round it - I'm doing the same as Goldiegirla little at a time - as I'm trying to sort out properly as I go its taking a while...........:(Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Haven’t reported in for a while but the de-cluttering continues - albeit at a slower pace. Currently I’m working my way through the filing cabinet which is providing lots of shreddings for the compost
. There’s still a long way to go but it feels good to be clearing stuff and reclaiming the space.

I'm back!! Gosh, that was  I was there two hours!! I don't think it's likely that I'll be offered the job, to be honest, but thank goodness I have 'decluttered' the interview :rotfl:
Rewarding myself with a little sit down before I go and work out what to do with the chicken breasts I took out of the freezer this morning ....
Goldiegirl - I have to declutter paperwork like that - a bit at a time, and then go over it all again, then again - each time I get rid of more, I just can't seem to do it all in one hit!Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
